    My photography journey began in 1972 when I was 12. I was fortunate that a dear uncle gave me his Yashica 124. And my mind went at warp speed. Along with my best friend, we used to go to Old San Juan to take pictures (he was also a proud owner of a Yashica 124) in black and white. My friend is long gone, but the memories are still imprinted in my heart. I love your pictures enough that you earned my sub. Stay safe, brother.

    Marcus, you did some great work with the 503. As a long-time Hasselblad user, I can attest to how hard it can be to hand-hold that camera. One minor critique I might offer -- and others might disagree -- is that I find the animated background to be distracting. I kept thinking bugs were flying around in front of my screen and it took my attention away from some really excellent images.

    Great video, really great photos. Love the colors and the compositions. The second bakery shot was perfect as was the market at 4:50 and the building at 5:12.

    Hey Marcus another great vid. My copy of your Zine Cuidad de Palacios arrived just now ( about 15 minutes ago). It's a great zine. You're a person walking around the city capturing scenes that appeal to you. It's not a glossy sales magazine; it's more real and realistic than that; and the image making is high class. As I stroll through it, it's like taking a stroll through the place itself. Very nice production Marcus and from my POV a lovely way to see another place. Not just your production but I think it's a good production technique or genre or whatever you say. The kind of thing that would be nice to have as a collection of different places on this big beautiful planet. Thanks Marcus. Keep up the good work.

    DUDE your production quality has gotten so good and watching your videos is so fun! I also think its really cool that you've got a Hasselblad to shoot 6x6 for a while

    The hasselblad system is so insanely satisfying to use... I picked mine up from a retired photographer who stored it away for 20 years and just a quick CLA brought it right back to life and it's now my go-to medium format camera. The 6x6 grows on you so much as an aspect ratio and really makes you think differently. You can even see if in your pics man!

    • @MarcusLloyd
      @MarcusLloyd  3 года назад

      That’s so true man. It changes the perspective so much and I dig it. I need to push a few more rolls through it before I do a proper review

    I started out shooting film back twenty years ago, during my senior year of high school. My goal was to one day own a medium format Hasselblad camera because the images were so high resolution. Unfortunately they were ridiculously expensive back then. It's great to see people still shooting film, though! Looks like it's making a little bit of a come back! Though I shoot only digital these days, it'd be neat to actually get back into film as more of a side pet project. Anyway great video :)

      I can relate. Bought my first hasselblad at 57 y/o. They're cheaper now. This is a teacher. 12 shots and that's it. Unless you have multiple backs. Make every shot count. Enjoy!

    Marcus, old post I now but came across it as I’ve been researching a 500 series for myself. What have you found to be the best way to convert the 120 film negative to hQ digital for post editing? Thx
