I hope they make a version of this that’s pre-routed for the rhythm circuit if you want to add it in later. I know they did that with CME for the first run of player jazzmasters. I just want a new, affordable jazzmaster with a rosewood board damn it! Lol
I'm looking for my first JM, and being on a tight budget, this player II series looks to have landed right on time lol. It seems I can't go wrong with this one? I just can't decide between the sunburst and the birch green -_- Great video btw, subbed!
The Classic Player Series JM come with overwound p90s . I got a couple (2012, 2019) and they sound awesome with fuzz and overdrive. You can also swap the neck and bridge, which gives more output in the bridge position. neck p'up has a metal plate underneath like a tele
im looking to buy this player ii jm as my own first guitar since its so affordable and i love shoegaze, all ive had is a gifted squier strat as my main instrument i practice on so this is a cool video
Hi Luca. Great review, I am considering getting this in my local store on Saturday. What string gauge would you recommend for this and did you shim the neck? Also, what would be the first thing you would upgrade?
hey mate! thanks, i have an overview of string gauges i typically use here ruclips.net/video/yRwavDWQAFo/видео.htmlfeature=shared i did not shim the neck & the first thing i'd upgrade would probably be the vibrato system, though that's not specific to this guitar, most guitars i like to have a certain kind of system accustomed to my playing :)
@@pedalpartners Thank you for the reply I will check the video out. One last question, would you say this sounds closer to the traditional jazz master sound than the American Professional II with the VMOD pickups?
yeah i thought about getting one of those jazzmasters, but the fact that they removed the other tone control knob kinda killed it for me. I must say though that those new Mustangs look sweet. But personally the Duo Sonic ii will always be the perfect Shoegazing machine for me. (The one i play does have a whammy bar (or Jeff) too.
i love switches on my offsets, the more the better! that being said, i'm really enjoying this guitar. i think the simplicity is great for those who maybe don't like all the switches or those just starting out. it sounds really nice too!
this one was alright for me & actually a bit better than some of my more expensive guitars. but my ideal trem arm / system is the one on my kurt jag. perhaps because i've built my whole style of playing around that guitar.

I tried them out the other day at gf. I just can’t do the modern vibrato placement being closer to the bridge.

Oof. Pedal partners out here sounding like pygmalion. Too cool.
BIG COMPLIMENT 🎉 thanks!!
I use a tele for my gazing needs
