I have AWE Track and what really brought it to life was the jpipe on my wrx. Whenever I get sick of how loud it is i have the muffler adapter and it keeps it interesting for me. I digress, Perhaps ELH or keep the UELH setup for max loud 🤷🏽♂️. Keep going Chris!

W/ my frs i ran the catless uel tomei header, i just had a really muffled catback w/ stock front pipe and it was perfect volume imo. Love the build by the way!

I know Tomei has the new catback which is dual exit, full titanium and it comes with silencers for those cold starts. Love the vids!
Love watching your videos, Man. I am waiting for my AWE and Tomei combo too. I got both track and touring just in case but I wanted to know if it is necessary to wrap headers. It comes with wrapping but I see you didn’t have it wrapped. Any excessive heat issues under the hood? Should I be concerned?
I have a Gen 1 BRZ with Tomei UEL headers, Stock over pipe, HKS front pipe, and an invidia exhaust. Mine isn’t even that loud at a cold start. I guess it’s my stage 2+ tune that made it mellow.
Ark Grip Catback, MXP catless headers and stock frontpipe is what im running and i think its perfect, i think if you ran your same catless setup but with the stock front pipe or a dual resonated one it wouldnt be that bad
Yo Chris since you think the track edition is too loud with the headers but without it’s too quiet maybe you can try the touring edition with the headers
JDL ultra quiet front pipe/mid pipe combo paired with tomei headers is awesome

I have Grimspeed's equal length headers for my 2020 WRX. I wonder if they make it for the 2022 BRZ. I do have the AWE Touring for my WRX...much deeper and no crackle. Awesome setup, no check lights and no tune. Noticeable bump in HP.

Just add a front pipe to help out with the catback so it’s not too quiet. What I did with my old setup was uels, front pipe and catback with mufflers, run the invidia n1 catback
Can you show us how you loosen and tighten that nut on the hard to get to bolt for the Tomei uel headers? I can never get it fully tighten
Have you considered the tomei headers with that mufflers installed that came with your catback? Curious how that would sound.
could try the conversion kit for the awe exhaust, adds mufflers to the track one
I'd keep the headers on but put mufflers on the catback. Love seeing you take the brz out though!
you can fill up two buckets with sound deadening things and just cold start into them I used to do that
I enjoy my Greddy Catback the mufflers keep it from being super raspy but sounds dope!

Wonder if it would be better if you did the tomie headers and then not the track catback and have the mufflers on maybe that will keep it loud like you want it and calm down the cold start

Have you thought about experimenting with solutions to the loud cold starts with the old header setup? Like putting a cover with foam over the tailpipes for cold starts, the pool noodle trick, etc.

You should just buy the awe touring mufflers conversion. If it's similar like for the wrx, the muffler pipes can be swapped over and they hook right up

get the mxp comp rs. I have it on my car with plm catless uel headers and stock front pipe. cold start is still loud but no where near as loud as yours before.
AWE has a track-to-touring kit that you can add to the track edition exhaust. Cheaper than buying a whole new catback and it should make it quieter with the headers.

You could get your brz's cold start turned off by a tuner I'm pretty sure. I got a 2019 wrx and my cold start was too loud. I brought it to my tuner and he just turned off the cold start completely. You could def give this a shot.

Pretty much yeah. The more mufflers and resonators you remove the louder it gets.

Maybe run the UEL tomei headers, but get a custom exhaust that it has active valves to be able to open and close them. That would me my go to.

i run JDL catted UEL headers, JDL over/front pipe (dual res no cat) and the Greddy EVO GT. Plenty loud and a great exhaust note, but not neighbor disturbing. at least i think haha. maybe a hi flow catted header setup or catless headers and using the version of the exhaust with the mufflers would get you closer to what youre after. hope you figure it out soon! car is awesome either way!

I would try look into getting some tomei silencers and just see if they fit in the exhaust tips🤷🏼♂️ it makes the car a lotttttt quieter and you could then keep it loud when you are out driving but have them in when you start it

I would suggest dual exit MBRP that still 3", but it has mufflers, and that should handle the UEL headers sound better than de AWE. Or maybe go for the double Tomei option 😆
