No, that just makes me feel bad, I prefer to focus on happy thoughts for how great their lives are about to become. Wishing all these beautiful dogs new, caring homes and a happy life ahead.
I've rescued many dogs over the years and one thing people need to understand is that once you bring them home it can take weeks or even months for them to adjust . I would tell people it's like I take you , drop you off in a foreign land , walk away , and expect you to know how to act . Time and patience are what's needed and if you don't have either don't do it .
My son has a beautiful black very small GSD who was abused, who adopted him! She was so shy to me, and everyone but him! She loves him to pieces! She has been living here for two years, and is now just coming up to get pets, and treats from me. Patience is the whole key. Lots of love, and understanding goes a long way. We are still a work in progress, but oh SO worth it!! She now trusts me to get up onto my lap during thunderstorms, and fireworks. Love her so much!! We hope to have her a very long time! Love you Sweet Bear Anala!❤️❤️❤️❤️
From my experience it takes for all animals about 3 months to finally show their true characters. So that is the time to imprint them with positive experiences, they will never loose what they have been trough but you can put other/ positive imprints over their negative imprints. And eventually they learn to go for the new/ positive imprints you give them. Please consider that it will takes months for them to trust you.. 🫶🇳🇱
It's really important that this message is given more. There are a lot of well meaning people who really love dogs that don't seem to understand that rescue dogs or dogs, in general, are not for everyone. It's all very well to say that dogs can bring a lot of joy which they clearly can, but even the best trained , most docile dog also brings work and expense and if someone isn't in a position to handle that , it's just very stressful.
I adopted Kiko from Animal Friends of the Valley last year. The facility was immaculate and everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable and truly cared about the animals. Kiko has changed from an emaciated frightened pup to a very good girl who is confident, playful, and loving. It will be a long time before I adopt again but they will be my first, and likely only, stop.
We adopted a dog that was bonded with a sister she’d been with for 4 years. They were surrendered together and the sister was adopted the day before we saw our Mickie. I think that was the hardest part of her adjusting to her new life with us. She missed her sister for a good 2 years or more. Even though we have 2 other dogs she loves. My point is breaking a bonded pair is very difficult to heal from. Thank you for all the love and healing you provide. ❤
@@DS-nq9ii We don’t know who adopted her sister. That’s why I believe in ‘open’ adoptions. There should be the option to leave information that can be shared with other adopters to help with the transition to a new home. Well that’s my dream anyway. 🐶🥀🐶
Love this! The Cane Corso is such an epic dog. Somebody that knows the breed needs to scoop Logan up and love on him pronto. Thank you for all you do for the doggos.
I appreciate that you said that it's important that a potential adopter be familiar with this breed. Cane Corsos are not an easy breed to own. Someone has to know what they are doing so he doesn't end up back in the shelter.
I hate that we live in NC, and still don’t have our home rebuilt since Florence (long irrelevant story). My point is big, beautiful, giants are my heart, I’ve been rescuing and rehabbing dogs literally my whole life as my father also trained dogs, Andersen became a foster for a rescue, where he also took in the”last chance” problem children, behavioral issue pups. The same thing I do, but my love is those deemed “Aggressive” natured, so pittie’s, mastiffs, American Bulldogs & Bullys. Point, I would add that sweet boy to our family in a heartbeat! He needs a reason to wag, and wiggle again and right now, he’s just to broken😔. He needs a soft place to land, a bed of his own, good food, and endless snuggles, on top of the medicated baths to help sooth the sore skin. I would steal little miss… did you call her Betsy? I keep thinking, nope! That’s a PETUNIA OR DAISY! Lol… she’s a future, potential, potato and needs lots, and lots off room to wiggle! But then her couch and person to snuggle, when she’s ready, and someone who knows, her nose needs kisses, and lots of them. Ugh…. My heart 💔

Absolutely. If not in cane corso, then lots of experience with big dogs. Not because of aggression or anything, but because they require a special kind of human as well. Amazing dogs though and worth the time it takes to socialize and work out

I am very grateful that there are people like you. I love animals but I struggled with mental health issues my whole life. I can't keep a healthy emotional distance and couldn't do what you do and survive it. Thank you!!!
I think you have really touched on an area that people forget about. There are a lot of channels dealing with the thrill and satisfaction of capture and rescue of animals in need. People love to see the rescue, rehab of getting the animal cleaned and given proper medical care, then what? What happens when they are placed in a facility that is dealing with underfunding, staffing and the number of people that have the desire and ability to volunteer? Today's spot shone a light on the forgotten; the animals dealing with the aftermath of physical and emotional neglect. They need more people like you that will take the time to just sit and be. Pets and loving tones go a long way to aid in their healing process. Don't we love as humans to be the object of someone's care and attention? Those guys are just waiting for the opportunity to be loved and receiprocate their love as well. Please continue with your efforts to fill a need; and in the meantime, thank... thank... thank you for all you do!
I was telling my daughter about you and we think your amazing and thank you for being so gentle and caring and loving and amazing may god make his face to shine a pone you and I pray god the father blesses you. GOD BLESS You ❤🌹🙏🏻
I think it would be a good idea for you to foster and/or do a dog's day out with the Cane Corso! (If you're able /willing to of course!) Maybe you could let him pick some stuff out for himself and the shelter! And can you please let him know that he's a GREAT DOG and that the right home for him is out there and that all he has to do is be patient and not give up hope waiting for it to find him!😊🎉
You are an angel. THANK YOU! I rescued one dog in 2021 to keep her from being euthanized through no fault of her own (a overcrowded rescue center in the south with over 200+ dogs in a dog fighting calture area.. This has been a challenging journey but one that has changed both of our lives for the better!
Please keep making the sitting with dogs videos. They melt my heart. Ok. Not just my heart.... They melt me all over.🐕🐾🐕🐶🐾🐾🐾 Warm fuzzy feelings all over.
It never ceases to bring tears to my eyes when I see just how much joy shows to the faces of these dogs! I clearly could do this as I love the relationship I have with dogs is healthiest for both the dog and me!❤❤❤
Recently I saw a video on RUclips of a German shepherd that because he was so antsy, anxious, the owner cut its eyes out! He only had about a 3 ft long chain attached to a pole, so all he could do is go around in circles. Thankfully, he was discovered, fostered, rehabilitated, and adopted after five months. Thank God for you and others that can do this. ❤❤❤
@@larisatrepashko6893 It didn’t happen in the US, but it didn’t say. From the language and the landscape, my guess would be Europe or Asia. The RUclips channel is Howl of Pet. The video is “He was chained his entire life, both eyes out by his owner, ran in circles 24/7 confused, distraught”
@@larisatrepashko6893 Oh I completely agree. I would not have a problem stabbing the person’s eyes out…and worse. I sobbed during and for a long time after watching it but it was good to see that he got out of that hell and was with a super loving family. My heart will always hurt for him and all the others. Always.

Logan is the most adorable pup I've ever seen. Whoever adopts him will be the happiest mom/dad ever, really hoping for all of these doggos to soon get their forever home
Who on earth could treat these beautiful dogs or any animals so badly is beyond me,I have a beautiful Rottweiler 11 month old puppy who I got from a dog shelter in April I wouldn’t be without her she’s so precious.
Seeing what these dogs have been through makes me go hug my own rescue dog. She's gorgeous and extremely loving and I can't believe someone abandoned her in the street (she was brought in as a stray. She was microchipped but when they contacted the owners they claimed no knowledge of her). She has some issues around dogs bigger than her, which we're working on, but she absolutely loves people. Everyone she meets is her new best friend. Adopting her has changed my life for the better and I would recommend rescuing to anyone who wants a dog. They're not broken dogs, they're just dogs with history. A good shelter will work with you to make sure the dog is a good fit for you, because they really want it to work out.
This angels are beautiful !!! The deserve a loving HOME . Animals are really great !!! We must take care of them when adopt . With water , food , a nice place to live . And LOTS OF KISSES
If I was closer to you...I would gladly adopt this dog....Dogs have the MOST BEAUTIFUL souls of all & we should treat them as the majestic creatures that they are....I would love to volunteer where you are ...THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR THESE DOGS.....You ARE truly a Divine being of light
This truly breaks my heart. i had a puppy and his name was bubba he was a few months old, but one day he became sick and we didn't know what to do. so my older sister and mom took bubba to the vet, me and my younger sister saw our mom's car and we ran outside to see how bubba was doing, there was medicine in the bag that they were gonna give him but he had to eat some food first. but there was one problem he wasn't eating so we had to trick him to eat and it worked! we had to put him in the backyard in his cage because if we'd let him stay inside he would vomit everywhere. the very next day i woke up and i went to check on bubba but my heart dropped because he wasn't in the backyard anymore :( i asked my mom what happened she said that somebody stole him and the gate was left open, it took me to process i wouldn't see him anymore i started to cry i was the first one heartbroken 💔
I can't believe they didn't jump on the Labradoodle. She seems lovely and gentle. If I seriously didn't already have 2 dogs or live in the UK, I would have loved the Corso. He's gorgeous and needs lots of loving❤. I really home someone sees all these beautiful dogs needing loving homes and comes forward
@rockykanaka it's going to happen. It's just a super special home that's just extra perfect . My beautiful rescue is a Dutch Shepard from Hellin kill kennels in Spain. 🫶🇳🇱

I am very grateful that there are people like you. I love animals but I struggled with mental health issues my whole life. I can't keep a healthy emotional distance and couldn't do what you do and survive it.
Thank you!!!
Your words of encouragement are so lovely, you are supporting in one of the best ways possible, what a lovely gift to be giving!
GOD BLESS You ❤🌹🙏🏻
thank you for the kind words
I love to see these dogs get a few minutes of peace and love. Thank you!
😘😘💋💗
Thank you Lisa and thanks for being a member
I think it would be a good idea for you to foster and/or do a dog's day out with the Cane Corso! (If you're able /willing to of course!) Maybe you could let him pick some stuff out for himself and the shelter! And can you please let him know that he's a GREAT DOG and that the right home for him is out there and that all he has to do is be patient and not give up hope waiting for it to find him!😊🎉
I like the way you think!
Nice idea, maybe he needs to gain a bit of weight so he's stronger but Rocky will be able to judge that.
Do you think its possible if i want to adopt the Cane Corso since i am from Portugal (Europe) ?
You are an angel. THANK YOU! I rescued one dog in 2021 to keep her from being euthanized through no fault of her own (a overcrowded rescue center in the south with over 200+ dogs in a dog fighting calture area.. This has been a challenging journey but one that has changed both of our lives for the better!
Please keep making the sitting with dogs videos. They melt my heart. Ok. Not just my heart.... They melt me all over.🐕🐾🐕🐶🐾🐾🐾 Warm fuzzy feelings all over.
Omg. This breaks my heart. Bless you!
What you do for these dogs is so very important....making them feel loved and safe. Thank you!~~~~~
It never ceases to bring tears to my eyes when I see just how much joy shows to the faces of these dogs!
Wtf 😳 In what country did this happen? US?
@@larisatrepashko6893
It didn’t happen in the US, but it didn’t say. From the language and the landscape, my guess would be Europe or Asia. The RUclips channel is Howl of Pet. The video is “He was chained his entire life, both eyes out by his owner, ran in circles 24/7 confused, distraught”
@@sshinne12 OMG 😭 I cannot even watch this. Hope people who treat animals like that will get what they deserve.
@@larisatrepashko6893
Oh I completely agree. I would not have a problem stabbing the person’s eyes out…and worse. I sobbed during and for a long time after watching it but it was good to see that he got out of that hell and was with a super loving family. My heart will always hurt for him and all the others. Always.
@@sshinne12 If you need any help with that I 'm available. I had a rescue Rottie who had been abused. She was the sweetest girl ever. I never thought I was a violent person before, but I ask God for a baseball bat and five minutes with whoever did that to her.
We need more people like you in this world thank you for what you do and for a little bit of love that these dogs get just from sitting with them
I would find it so difficult to leave those behind, especially Betsy and Logan ❤❤
I never want to leave their kennel 😔
Same I'd be bringing them all home but my dog doesn't do good with other dogs. I wish he did but sadly he won't.
Thank you and Blessings to you for spending time with the dogs, just showing them the love they need so badly. If I had a place with a big fenced in yard I would take them ALL home!!! ⭐💖🙏
The cane corso broke my heart I hope his person adopts him and brings his soul back to happiness ❤❤❤
Logan is adorable! Who ever adopts him is going to be one lucky owner !
He is amazing...
I wish we could have more. I love dogs. They are so loyal and trusting. People who abuse a dog are a low life and deserve to be locked up and have their privileges taken away of ever owning any animal again.
Thank you for what you do ❤
I’m so proud of you for helping dogs Rocky, you are a blessed guardian I’m very proud of everything you do for them keep up good work.
THANK YOU for helping these sweet babies! Every single one is deserving of love & the best life!! This breaks my heart! God bless you & may God bless these precious fur babies. Sending love & prayers. 🥹😭🙏🏼🥰❤️🐾🐶❤️🩹🥹

PLEASE 🙏🏼 KEEP DOING THESE VIDEOS!! I see so many trying to place applications to adopt these sweethearts! This can make such a HUGE positive difference for these sweet babies. I pray they ALL find amazing, loving forever homes 🙏🏼🏡🐶🐕💙🩵💜🤎
Love the little chunky tricolor dog towards the beginning of this video. I hope that one gets adopted soon.
She was really sweet
Casually showed my dad this video and a picture of Betsy because I loved her. Apparently so did he! He drove from Las Vegas to the shelter and she is now with him in a loving home. Thanks for all you do.
Omg thank you and your dad for taking Betsy. I tried myself but she disappeared off the adoption list and I panicked as to her whereabouts! Take good care of her please!
im really hoping that this cane corso gets adopted. if i was able to adopt him i def would. i have such a soft spot for cane corsos. i use to have one when i was a kid. she was such a sweet heart
Logan is the most adorable pup I've ever seen. Whoever adopts him will be the happiest mom/dad ever, really hoping for all of these doggos to soon get their forever home
Aww the white black spotted dog next to Betsy was so cute 3:37
Also I hope they all get adopted into nice homes 🤗
Who on earth could treat these beautiful dogs or any animals so badly is beyond me,I have a beautiful Rottweiler 11 month old puppy who I got from a dog shelter in April I wouldn’t be without her she’s so precious.
Rocky thank you for doing your work on earth. The dogs need you.
Thank you so much for everything. I sure all these dogs are so thankful for you! Keep up the good work I’ll be watching ❤
I hope u always continue to help animals😊
This angels are beautiful !!! The deserve a loving HOME . Animals are really great !!! We must take care of them when adopt . With water , food , a nice place to live . And LOTS OF KISSES
That was an amazing video! I love this series "Sitting with dogs" Wishing all of them get adopted very soon, they are so lovely and cute!!
thank you!
Thank you for everything you do for these dogs ❤
Bless your heart for giving so much of yourself to the babies.
Love the new series Rocky!! I could watch so many hours of you just sitting and cuddling these beautiful souls 🥰
thank you! I will make more
Every time I come across one of his videos I also stop to watch. Those dogs are sooo cute and deserve the best home! ☺️
I know and I went back a couple days later and still not adopted. Blows my mind.
@rockykanaka it's going to happen. It's just a super special home that's just extra perfect .
My beautiful rescue is a Dutch Shepard from Hellin kill kennels in Spain. I was actually looking for a small dog in the UK. Ended up on the wrong page.
Fate stepped in that day, and I know it will for this beautiful Corso boy too❤️
If he finds a new home would it be possible for you to vlog it?
Praying all the dogs get new families with lots and lots of love ❤
I just love who you are! You heart and soul !
Thank you for being a wonderful human!
I love your “Sitting with Dogs” videos. We get such a better perspective on the beautiful personalities of these animals stuck in shelters. Thank you for what you do.
Thst just breaks my heart I. Already filling up all they want is a bit of control then masses and masses of love and patience. They give back a thouseand times so much love

I love you man for what you doing to all theae dogs you help ❤ Your amazing 🙏 pray for a quick adoptions into a forever home for all these beautiful dogs.
I have 2 Cane Corso's, and seeing him like that makes me cry, cause the're such sweet dogs. I really hope he (and all the other dogs) get a warm loving home.
Good idea, Rocky - showing the love these dogs have to give 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cane corsos are the most amazing, loving and faithful dogs ever. They are brilliant guard dogs and very protective of their owners, whom they’d give their lives for. I had a female for 14 years before she passed in 2016, she was our baby girl.
thanks for starting to make these kinda videos they’re some of my favorite kinda videos you make i love them so much and i like how much you say and it’s like teaching me a bit more dog body language these videos are awesome
I hope they all find safe and happy forever homes ❤😢❤please support your local shelter!! 😊
