Pretty sure they did offer a fair few. But most of the people high up already have very good jobs I think. I know Carbide's lads have some pretty high end engineering ones already. I miss seeing the Rapid guys on TV, I enjoyed that they weren't made out to be bad guys just because they brought an expensive robot. (And they've since went on to compete in other competitions, so it clearly wasn't just a one off promotion too, they love this sport.)
I never realized at 1:08 how carbide actually was creating a draft that pushed some of the smoke away, thats pretty neat
I noticed on some of the other carbide fights, it blew dust on the floor away in the same manner.

It was smoke from the Lithium batteries. Lipo fires are pretty potent when they get broken.
