I've heard nuno tell these stories before in other interviews & hes such a great story teller. Love his energy, wit & sense of humour. We all admire his playing but being so humble & down to earth. Hes the type of person you'd want as a friend.
I really hope that everything they did with 'SIX' is taken as a masterclass, because every rock band in the world could learn (or re-learn) about some key elements that have been missing for so long
Some of these stories I’ve heard so many times but I just can’t get enough! Great interview, where the interviewer listens and the interviewee is captivating and just- amazing
“The solo is the solo because of the band. You feed off the chemistry, it’s way more powerful, play to the rhythm section, the band alleviates the guitar player. The chemistry of bands. The bond. When you take pieces of the foundation out…” This interview with Nuno is like a case study in team dynamics. Enlightening.
I can't wait to see you guys on Febuary 10th in Michigan. To hear your new album live. And to hear some older stuff. I've been waiting since a damn 90s to have your ass close enough to go to a concert. So I'm looking forward to it, see ya Febuary 10th. I knew you guys would finish the album.
3rd thing: I traveled to Frankfurt in 2006 to watch Nuno with Population 1. During his set he dropped his pick, I took one from my pocket and handed it to him. He played the rest of the gig with it and then sought me out to give me the pick back. The next day I managed to bring the neck of my N4 guitar in to the expo. Nuno signed it (tried to steal it) and sat with me for a few hours with the rest of the band chatting. I think I tried to be as cool with him as Nuno tried to be with Paul McCartney - we wrote some songs together and I gave him the idea for the rise solo.
Ok. I'm back because I've been obsessed with Nuno Bettencourt interviews lately. But, did he say he loved being at the Grammys because of the people who were there like Ed Sheeran and... Andy Gibb? The Bee Gees little brother? Were they holding a seance? Because Andy Gibb's been dead since 1988! Whoa! Now THAT'S a STORY!!! LOL! Just joking. I love Nuno. (And I loved Andy Gibb. RIP, man.)
I agree! I hated that for him! Also, he was part of the Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Ye performance at the Grammys, and he should have been standing beside them - not behind them.
that sucked so bad...... he was the only reason i watched that and Never saw him at all,,,i was so fucking pissed...fuck those fucks that run that show
Awww!!! Nuno experienced the 'unholy trifecta'/'unholy trifecta' of knee injuries,. I saw on his Instagram page where he had to have injections in his knee, and it was intense. Yikes! I hope he'll be able to get that knee taken care of soon, and that there are no lasting side effects of putting off the surgery. 😘
The average listener has no idea how to build that house.. they just live in it. Its funny the "space between the notes has more musical vibrational energy than the note itself..zero point energy.. just ask Tesla about that , and no im not talking about Elon the Crust either..the REAL ENERGY is produced in the void. Just think about your own mind! How many silent thoughts have YOU Put out there that no one will ever know you Thought!? Maybe about your friend, your family? Your life? THAT is the REAL Energy, this "reality" is based on energy. It cannot be created and it cannot be destroyed . RISE! LOL

Couldn't have said it better!! So true!🥰
Nuno makes me feel 17 again. Love this guy.

Nuno is so damn right. Music is about feelings, living the moment while you either play or listen.
I love you Nuno!
❤❤❤

Nuno is captivating. The album is amazing. Can't wait to see them on the tour.
Two things:
1: Nuno doesn’t know how good he is
2: Nuno needs to write a book
3. Nuno needs to be in a movie:D
Amen, and Amen!!!
@@vicksinn he's been in two.
Acting not really his strong point, but love him!

It sucks a year ago Nuno was a part of The Super Bowl Performance and they barely showed him.
I agree! I hated that for him! Also, he was part of the Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Ye performance at the Grammys, and he should have been standing beside them - not behind them.

👍👍
"Way back in the 1900's." 😂
In my humble experiences, people who hate it at first, usually end up loving it!
Nuno is 110% Correct! When Ed passed, it was the end of this Era of REAL ORGANIC REAL HUMAN MUSIC.
"Life" itself is a wheel. Round and round it goes...
39:51 The Trifecta! of sports injuries correct meester Nuno??? Lol
