I genuinely thank you for sharing your practical experience in the freelance market. This video brought me a better practical understanding much better than any other content on RUclips!!!
I am, Can i mail you my situation ill write it clearly so you won't hv to reply twice. Or any other way i can explain my situation. I really need someones perspective. And badly want to start freelancing. @@looyd
This is great. It's very REALISTIC and SPECIFIC. Most success videos leave out the grind, leave out the fact they have some 4 year background in a similar field, their personal story is 10 years old and no longer relevant to today's environment, and nobody EVER actually shows what they did for their projects/portfolio. Well done. Very helpful.
I've been trying to use upwork for the last 3 weeks. After sending like 15 proposals and being ignored 14/15 times ( i applied for react and mern projects ) I can feel what you have been through. 2 days ago I just started a small ThreeJs project randomly and now this video appears on my yt home. I will make it happen, thank you for the inspiration!❤
Actually I was in my Day 1 of Freelance, I was going to do the same fault you did, But you opened my eyes in such an early period, I actually need to change my plan and do some market research and find appropreate neiches before delving in the development phase and wasting time; thank you for sharing your experience with us, wish you the Best!
I like how he described his journey to getting his first job . The way u described ur failures, learning from them , i never saw anyone being this transparent and honest . U helped me learn a lot of things . Great video , man .
Damn, bro! I remember your very first video where you were learning React, and now you've finally got your very first gig. I'm happy for you, my G. Congratulations! 🥳🥳✨✨
I'm starting to learn on how to become a software developer, and this was so relatable especially on the freelancing side lol. Now I gotta watch more of your vids. You're probably the only guy I watched out of hundreds of similar videos where I said "holy, that's so cool"
OMG this one, really you are so amazing, the fact that I am in situation like your 500+ days with my portfolio saying I am fullstack developer and not even getting job for free trial. They barely open my proposal and no messages with my 0 reviews and I was lol the way you were describing the pain all of us is going through. Thanks for your honest practical experience sharing!
I'm brazillian, and this content is absolutely amazing man! Very thanks! Your speaking was easy to understand for me at the same time, I could enjoy your good humor! Success man!
I appreciate truly honest people not willing to trade their values for money. Congratulation dude. I wish for you to keep going and get really good at this. Can't wait for December update on your journey.
Amazing insights bro... I have been a freelancer for more than 2 years now and right now I am trying to switch my niche and industry from Social Media SEO to Data Science, AI, and Dev... I got here from watching you previous 1000 days of code video... I needed these video 💯
Amazing journey. I just started learning how to code and looking for some freelance programming jobs. Not sure if I could handle all the stress like you did, but watching this video makes me realize that I will, too, find my way somehow. So, thank you and congratulations. Hope you get more and more and more jobs. And please don’t call yourself a trash. The fact that you didn’t give up after failing getting jobs for hundreds of days speaks for yourself that you’re not one. Instead, I think it’s more like a trait of someone who will definitely be successful one day.
It will come together. I had website for 10 years that didnt make any money then suddenly it made me more a month then most people get in a year from a job. Just need a lucky break sometimes.
Awesome! I love your video! Currently signed up with freelancer but will be trying other sites to use. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! Keep up the amazing work!
Bro, i've been searching for a video like this for so long... You can find everyone selling what to do, but it's usually over saturated stuff, that you'd have a very consolidated competition to work against (like the one you found at the begining of the video). This practical experience of yours just motivated me to keep studying and working on my stuff, as well as showing me that i have to find something like three.js to specialise myself. Great video bro, really. Keep it up, you just got yourself a new sub.
you know what .. at minute 8:00 .. A tear drop fall from my eyes😂 .. this video was like a short movie about success .. and I loved it so much❤❤ .. hope you get better and better every day❤
i really like your videos showing how is the reality of finding jobs. you could make video how you could find job in 3 months. but you showed us the reality. really appreciate your efforts.
I was demotivated that after creating an Upwork account 6months before i was not able to get a single job but your video somehow motivated me.you got a new subscriber
I tried freelancing as a web developer on upwork this march and the same story, 0 responded out of 15 or so. I gave up and have not coded for about 5 months. II'm super grateful for you sharing your experience as this has motivated me to continue. Instant sub
I’m trying this! I really wanted to get into freelancing as a side hustle to make more money along my full time dev position. I’ll start after my current sprint at work and see if I can do this freelance thing in 3 months! Thank you for the motivation and the time you’ve put in.
Congrats man! And thank you so much for the niche search tip. I just might try it. I've been working as a Data Analyst for 5 years and have been interviewing around for jobs that pay better. I've been interviewed so many times but no offers. It sucks to get ghosted. I've been looking at a career change to maybe a developer and doing some freelance stuff to get experience. Your advice helps. Thank you.
Why don't you apply what this guy did, but in your current field? Grass always looks greener on the other side. You just need to get better at selling yourself in a niche within your current field!
😂 what's funny is that I'm thinking of going into the data analyst part from web dev. Grass really does look greener fromthe other side. Just get better in your current field bro maybe ai/ml stuff.
thanks for sharing your story bro, I really appreciate your honesty towards everything and not fluffing it up to sound professional. ps: i knew you were German immediately from the way you used your fingers to depict "3". i love you guys. thanks again for making this video.
