My first choice was c++, and that was the best choice. I learned basics of programming + basics of how computers work. Then I switched to web development (html, css, js). Then I started learning backend and microservices (apis, doker, nodejs). In the mean time I learned basics of git, github and networking.

The only issue with selling your service on your own website is traffic and trust. Are you gonna get more people to your website than upwork? And are they gonna trust that their money is well spent and they are gonna get what they want? It's not that easy as it sounds but if you can generate traffic through youtube twitter and have an online presence then sure it might work. But for people who like their privacy then maybe this approach wouldnt work

What is the board software that you have where you rearranging stuff ?

From my experience it's best to get 2 jobs that pay on hourly rate where you can get ~40 hours combined. If one gets finished or paused you have still income coming while you find replacement. Also, if you have higher hourly limits than you usually work but have some more free time during weekend you can do more work. Last month I had one week when I did 60 hours and that got me $3300 for those 7 days.
