48 hours Packraft Wild Camping On A Scottish Loch, Inside a Scandinavian Style Cabin!

In this weeks episode, my mukka Jake and I spend the evening under tarp in the woods by a Scottish loch in the highlands. We try our hand at a bit of lure fishing, obviously we caught naff all so decided to settle for a book in the bag chilli.
The next morning we have a re pack of kit. We spent 8 days living out of my golf and re packed for each camp each day, depending on the type of camp we were planning to do.
With that sorted, we drove to another loch for another adventure where we blew up the packrafts to paddle over to the other side. We got a nice campfire roaring and spent the night under a cool scandi style bushcraft cabin in the woods. I got my drone soaked in the way over… typical.
We met a couple of Danish lads, we had an evening swapping stories and a bit of banter accompanied by red wine, cheese and crackers with some branston pickle on, which I thought was a proper English welcome!
The water back accross was quite choppy but if anything, it just aided the dramatic backdrop that left me with a massive smile on my face.

I remember this mountain, maybe what the Scots would call a hill, I hiked up with my dad near my grannies place in Scotland. Last time I saw it, it was nothing but a crater. That deforestation saddens me.

Loch Oich was my favourite of the Loch's on the Great Glen trip. D3ad relaxing and it had a cheeky butty shop where me and Charlie had out first cooked breakfast in ages, well two day lol.
That beautiful spot on Loch Locky was ace! The wood cabin wasn't there when we headed up that way. Woukd have loved a night in that, good job you got there early dudes.

It was drizzling outside and the wind was blowing over 2mph which means search and rescue will say that the weather is to inclement to go out in so it's his choice.

Awesome post mate as always. Is Jake from Yorkshire by any chance? I ask as I'm born & bred near Leeds. Even though I lived overseas for 6 years until 6 months ago, I bloody love living 10 yards from the fields, moors, woods etc rather than a baron scorchio place! - England really is the best, irrespective of what the news tells everyone. Skateboarding ruined my cousins life. He was superb at sports ended up severly hurting his knee skating and got prescribed multiple scripts of oxy 80s after his surgery and never recovered. Before anyone argues yes doctors used to give out multiple acripts of 30 oxy 80s post surgery.

Hi Longo, you chose the wrong month, midges die off in October, and it's not normally too wet. We did it both ways Fort William to Inverness then the return, it took 7 days it it was so stunning .
