I'm surprised at the number of negative comments on this. I can only assume most of them are not made by real working musicians. She has great timing and control. I have played with the guys that bang their drums with every ounce of energy they have and people who are controlled like Meytal. I'll take the drummers like her all day long.
She's obviously a good looking girl but judging a musician on their looks instead of their skills is what little girls do. I would expect grown men to act differently.
+smm5770 Honestly, her hands are sloppy, and she doesn't really put forward the feeling of the song through the drums. Not that it's a bad cover, it's just there's more to doing a version than hitting the same drums as the recording. You have to feel the music, let it flow naturally and capture the emotion and style of the original artists while still adding your own spin. That's why in my opinion, it wasn't great and why people are probably criticizing. And as a working musician to another you can't really justify not putting the essential performance elements in there.
And I'm sure if she over exaggerated her movements as if she was playing in front of 10,000 people, some people would have had a problem with that. You know what I mean?

What is amazing is if you have a kit and learn the basics this is really quite easy to play. I'm not saying anything against the young lady, rather it's encouraging to me as a new drummer to think I could do this. If only for my own satisfaction.

Close your eyes and you hear John Bonham playing the drums on this song. Open your eyes and you see a happy young girl making child's play of the drum-God's playing. Meytal and a few others female drummers are giving drumming an entirely new style and feel, a completely new make over. Drumming is no longer the sweaty, Adrenalin pumped, slugfest (even dope driven) with the drums. These girls have stormed a male bastion and are redefining drumming. Meytal is playing some complex and some very complex beats/fills/rolls (I am considering her other videos as well) without even breaking a sweat, all the while lip syncing the song and flashing that 10,00 watt smile. even bare footed. I haven't seen that in decades of watching male drummers. You may argue and call it passion but some male drummers look as though they are going through torture, punishing both themselves and the drums. Meytal makes it look all so simple, elegant and easy and that too with such a modest kit. Way to go girl! You are an inspiration! The other drummer girl I was impressed is Senri Kawaguchi. Her style is different though.

I think its that her drums are very low in the mix and Bonzo's drums are lot louder. It's not a drumless track. She hits 8th on the hihat many times and you cant hear it. And she hits it like a feather. Respect for Meytal but she plays majority of the tracks with fraction of the power. Especially true here.

Yeah, it's quite possible to play as "good" as John Bonham. Many drummers since have, and many have played better than him, actually. And the drum part to "Stairway to Heaven" is incredibly basic, even among Zeppelin songs.
