Wish I had the disposable cash to force you two to watch the first season of Mr. Mercedes. It's one of my favorite King adaptations of all time, literally perfect TV starring the wonderful Brendan Gleeson.

You guys didn't mention the Salem's lot prequel TV show Chapelwaite. Great show, it was cancelled after one season but the last episode works well as a good ending. You can just think of it as a mini series instead.

It's what happens when artists start to believe they have a responsibility to use their "platform" to influence people for their own good. It's one of the many causes of death for good art.

I do believe King's work peaked in the mid 90's, but there was a noticeably sharp drop in quality around 2008. It is actually beyond rational to write so many characters that just happen to be rampaging Barack Obama knob-polishers, or just any U.S. president for that matter.

I read a lot of Stephen King in my 20s and I definitely wouldn't give him a pass. Not because of his politics but because he's honestly kind of a hack once you get over the "page-turner" aspect of his crap.

It depends. He's a master of the short story, but his novels can be hit or miss. It would be foolish to claim he's never written anything genuinely good, though.

I recognize the accusation of hackery; I understand it, but the thing about King is that he's made such far-out pieces of fiction, at least as far as horror goes, that you can't hate. Having said that, some of his film or TV adaptations handle his stories a little better though. Some of them.

Unfortunately, LowRes, but I have to say. Jeremy Jahns was a better blade.

The main cast were terrible. They look like extras who just got their first shot at acting.

You guys were way too nice to this pile of trash. Even the score sucked. (PUN NOT INTENDED HAR HAR)

      I didn't mind it, tbh
