You strive for perfection and get it. You would have trouble telling that there had been any accident damage when you have finished absolutely first class. Look after your knees Tim when you are kneeling on the floor as concrete can damage them over time.
Awesome work bro , well done especially its astonishing to see that quarter panel saved ,awesome my man just insane . Love the content , keep it up . This is real motivation and inspiration for me to save as much as possible instead of losing hope on first look . Keep on Grindin' , Rockin' and Rollin'. Don't worry about the dirt in the paint many Tesla's have that issue with paint but you are doing it all better than factory especially the body work. God bless .
Tim we need to see every step - that pull from inside the door jam on the quarter panel was very important to see and learned from on how you did it - please make sure you tape and cover every step
Sometimes it's painful to watch the procedures you take to repair things. Like the stud gun on the dogleg. Immediately I would have welded a plate. I watched the quarter buckle when you pulled from the inside of the quarter. Your learning quick I have to give you credit because the only way to learn is to do your best and you have an amazing passion for doing body work. I'm 38 and my old man owned a shop all my life. Started legit painting cars when I was 13 and went from there. Not many younger people give a shit anymore and don't want to work. Your doing great bro 👍
Guys, don't forget that you are dealing with a Tesla which has tons of quality issues specially in regards to paint. This Tesla will be better than OEM. Great job!!
Happy new year Tim. You should really invest in a proper spotter en spot welder unit if you are working on these new mild and high strength steel cars. You should always try to pull the edge with a pull tabs- knock down the buckle before straightening the fender. A frame bench and proper spotter is the two main tools for any collision guy
The dirt nibs are due to the factory in Fremont, California not being well suited to pump out high-quality paintwork. The Texas, China, and Berlin's Factories will have flawless paint.
Dang, beast mode! Amazing work. I can't believe you got it ready for primer already! What are you plans with it? Seems like you are in a hurry to get it done.
interesting car to pick, for someone used to German engineered panel gaps I reckon you might be surprised at the Tesla version of fit and finish, gonna have to get your painter to dumb it down a little too if you want an OEM matching paint finish, lol
Great work Tim, relevant videos even for us Brits. Did you have to disconnect the batteries before welding the pins on.? Don't want you blowing those batteries up! Keep up the good work.👍
Tesla has a lot of trouble with their paint job quality. Read an article about it, on some cars (can't remember the model) the paint is realy bad. But if you complain, Tesla treats you bad and maybe blocks you from buying another car :/
I don't know yet, but I think he goes to the auction or the feline iron of cars all dented and such, he buys and arranges, I like what you do to the cars arrange and take care comes from him
Hi guys, I started doing small body work projects, my question is 30:49 - why the body filler is mixed with glaze putty? If so what is the ratio? Thanks again and keep doing great work - hats off great job!
I own a Model 3 in red just because white is the worst factory paint in the world. But great car. Sold my 3-series and don’t regret it. Never had an issue. Removing the door handle is a lot of work.
All car manufacturers have "fish eyes" when the car comes out of the painting department. They usually fix it with a small polisher, looks like Tesla just cut corners this time or someone missed it.
Boy I could tell u worked ur ass off for this episode. We appreciate the hard work, keep it up
Don't make the panel gaps too good or the car will look suspicious
gaps are off from factory...i see them at my shop often
You strive for perfection and get it. You would have trouble telling that there had been any accident damage when you have finished absolutely first class. Look after your knees Tim when you are kneeling on the floor as concrete can damage them over time.
Wow Tim
Outstanding work on the body repair and I love your attention to detail.
Thumbs up
Looks like you've got better body gaps than the factory !
Thats not hard lol 😆 😂
She's looking good mate. Not a Tesla fan but this therapeutic man. Mad skills bro.

You made a good work, that was not easy but finally looks good.Good work.

Went well with a cup of tea lol
I do hate that expression “we gotta mud it”
Makes you sound like a bodge artist When your clearly very talented!
"I've never seen a dirt nib from factory paint"
This car was painted in a tent at Tesla.
Yeah I was confused 🤷♂️
I'm not surprised, here in Holland tesla is famous for there bad build quality.
I got some sirt in audi factory paint
Tesla has a lot of trouble with their paint job quality. Read an article about it, on some cars (can't remember the model) the paint is realy bad. But if you complain, Tesla treats you bad and maybe blocks you from buying another car :/

Quick!!
All car manufacturers have "fish eyes" when the car comes out of the painting department. They usually fix it with a small polisher, looks like Tesla just cut corners this time or someone missed it.
That's a whale eye not a fish eye... you can't miss that shite even if you're blind.
