1:59 to 2:24 was just impressive!!! Again this is one of my favorite Mavericks songs and as much as I like Eddie Perez I think Nick Kane was a better guitarist. You are a very talented player and I don't throw that out lightly
I prefer Ed Perez. I was watching and old live concert with nick and my opinion is that Eddie is much better. He understands the style and his chicken pickin is impressive. Do you know where's Nick? What he's doing?
klbax63 don’t take this the wrong way, and I love the Mavericks to death since 1994 but I agree with klbax, Nick is definitely the more accomplished, technical guitarist but Eddie is a better fit for the Mavericks. His style and stage presence along with the simple playing make them a perfect match. Nick has too much talent to be held back by the simplicity of Mavericks song arrangements. I feel the same with their current bassist, Ed Friedland, another very accomplished and technical player. Nick is in a band called Smoky White Devils, kind of a blues, hillbilly country rock which is suited more to his style and solos I feel. With that said, awesome cover. I love the twang of your Geetar
am a vocalist and I would love to record some stuff with you through Email if you are interested. You can listen to some of my stuff here on RUclips . Let me know if this sounds good to you
