I love how The Xhosen integrates Jesus' teachings and parables in real life moments. It really makes it more relateable and memorable. And thanks for that little Easter egg about this lady being a different one from the beauty salon Mary worked for 😅 i really thot it was the same woman as well!

Sisters?! I NEVER would've guessed that!! Cool. I thought it was Abigail's mother in the hair salon, too. Why didn't they make that clear in the show, I wonder.

I think the parables are very well done. And I think you do a great job explaining these things.

l apologise for asking, but, which Bible was Dallas making this series from? Was it The King James, The Scholfield Bible, The Prosperity Bible or The Catholic Bible? I saw Season 1 and thought it was beautifully made.

@@thesorrentosmoon4693 Seems to me they're comparing, as well as going back to the original languages. Watch the Round table session for lots of info on how they decide what to write and how to write it

I find it extremely interesting that Jesus (with a sly look on his face) when he said his father was in heaven. did he mean his earthly father was in heaven and not asleep awaiting resurrection or that his heavenly father ( GOD THE FATHER) was in heaven or both!

I think our Past/Lineage is fascinating! I’m part English, Welsh(Welsh & Moorish Blood), some Germanic & part “Pirate” whose mixed backgrounds if unknown Island & “Other” backgrounds! I’d love to know exactly what each was as I obviously carry genetics (like being tall, long limbed, high cheekbones, prior to broken noses a more prominent hooked nose & olive skin)! Perhaps family stories of the Moorish Invasion into very early Welsh History gives me my (original height & long limbs & generally Longer Boned build🤷🏻‍♀️), Viking heritage is also mentioned but No Important Historical Names are mentioned😉! All of us are Humans (well Nancy Pelosi says she & her Family/Friends are “Reptilian & Cold Blooded” at the DNC but🤷🏻‍♀️) otherwise Most of Us Are God’s Children & One Big Family & should Love & at least be Loving & Helpful & give a Hand to One Another & Pray for our Brothers & Sisters here on Earth! (Just beware of the especially self proclaimed Reptilians & Cold Blooded Ones!!!)🙏✝️🕊️🇺🇸🕊️🇮🇱🕊️🙏💙♥️💖💙♥️💖💞🙏

I'm so sorry, please forgive me. I'm a Bible student.😔Joseph is not personally mentioned in that lost at the temple story, no, but in verse 48 of Luke 2, most english translations of that verse say, "When His PARENTS saw Him, THEY were amazed." Technically in the Greek that word for parents is not there. It's implied from "they saw." However, Mary goes on to say, "Your FATHER and I have been searching for you." Where it is very clear that the word for father is used. This is why pre-teen Jesus responds about His "Father." So we know that Joseph was at least alive until Jesus was 12. 😮‍💨ok, I'm so sorry. Nerding has been turned off now.
I also have always loved this story. I realize now it's because rather than focusing on Jesus as a snarky teenager, the purpose of the whole passage shows that 12-year-old Jesus acknowledged that God was, and knew God as His patēr, His abba.
I'm sad that Jesus lost His father, at some point. I have no idea for sure, but knowing the culture around a boy being 13 and becoming a man, I hope Joseph lived to see Jesus turn 13 🥺
