    playing since Beta and now playing the game with multiple accounts, I can tell for sure you don't need ESO plus or bankers from the shop, since everything is just a teleport away from a vendor or a banker you can find in any big city in each zone. As someone who has multiple accounts, I can send emails with crafting stuff or items to an other account when I'm out there in the world on in a dungeon or in trial and can't teleport back to town and sell the stuff on that account when I log into a specific char on that.I see lots of new ppl that really want stuff from the store and see the prices and just turn on the game for having a store, please, just ignore the store, you don't need anything from the crown store, it's a things that saves you 10 secs of traveling or not using an addon that can replace your armory assistant. All motifs in the store can be obtain from in-game play, the store only has some times saviers and 90 % of the other stuff is visual crap.It's the best store in any game I have ever played since I can ignore it so well. Just get into 5 guilds with hundreds of people ( with guild application settings you can do that in literally 5 min ) and traveling is free forever. And as an advice if you start playing ESO, play solo at first, think of the people as furniture, explore the world, the lore, the combat ( it's better then WOW or FF14 at least for me ), the interface( ppl still struggling to navigate it, at least it's much easiest then FFs ) and once you get the hang of things join a proper PVP or PVE guild and do the mmo stuff. ESO it's the best solo MMORPG out there that still rewards you way of gaming and not wasting your time. Content from 2014 is still relevant today(gear/lore/exploration etc), they don't kill content like others, they just add more stuff for you to do like any mmo should do. The only problem ESO has is that they "can't find " some servers that can run Cyrodiil well enough for you not to throw your keyboard at the screen :P, but BGs are super fun and relaxing, at least that part of PVP works. I play all the big 3 MMOS but since last year ESO become my nr.1 MMO. ( paying 4 subs in total currently , 2 for ESO(2 ESO+s + 3 simple accounts you can get with 6 bucks on the many occurring deals they have, I like the crafting and trading part of this game, ESO+ does help me save a bit of time but if you are a begginer don't focus on this), 1 WOW, 1 FF14, but probably will drop the WOW one after 12 years of non stop recurring subscription, that game is just sad now...)

    • @runimcomingforyou.4505
      @runimcomingforyou.4505 2 года назад

      "It's the best store in any game I have ever played since I can ignore it so well"
      How can you say that after having played ff14 where you gotta go out your way to access the store?
      I enjoy eso but the animations and combat are the most turning off thing about the game and the fact that so many playstyles feel the exact same. Most people on the net I see complain how bad the combat is, for me it's not the combat but running animation lol. Good game tho, for me at least.

      All the best armor requires paying for the DLC after already buying the game. Just on principle alone that's wrong. Most big dungeon raid groups insist on your character having certain meta gear that can only be acquired through the DLC dungeons. Definitely a paywall separating the player base.

Has been on point and instead of basically silence or ur reported the raids are not just 4 boss fights their savage level content where u do a huge dungeon with ultra tuff trash and hella hard bosses theirs so much more i can say about it alls im saying is check it out its the dopest western style mmo besides wow.

    I got back into it a few days ago after about 4 years away from it and the most frustrating thing are the changes to the cp system and that the cash/crown shop seems almost too mandatory now. Im not sure if I like or dislike that all my characters are pretty much best in slot geared after over 4 years away. I hoped for a new tier of gear or better/newer sets. Even saying those "negativ" things the game still is really enjoyable. Nostalgia hit me hard and tank que timers for public still only 2 seconds. 😂

      And if you want to actually indulge in the PVP or group dungeon activities it will require you to get certain armor sets that require you to buy certain DLC. All the best armor sets are behind a paywall basically. And many if not most groups that raid dungeons require your character role to be equipped with these better armor sets. THAT'S where you will spend the money, to gain access to the region's and dungeons exclusive to the DLC

    • @ronarnix8211
      @ronarnix8211 2 года назад +4

      In a way yes, but also no. You don’t have to do anything that includes a group, but you’ll see other people doing things along side you. Like if your quest says “go here and kill this thing” most places are open instanced therefore other players will be there to kill them as well

      You can play it solo, but there are a lot of places where you'll need others so you don't die. It's not as fun as playing a stand-alone ESO game (like Skyrim or Morrowind) if you enjoy those experiences. I was hoping this would be like a stand-alone game +, but for me it was worse than stand-alone. I was also frustrated w/ the 25 quest limit as there's an NPC every 20 feet wanting to give you a quest.

    So the expansions have to be bought anyway doesn't matter if i'm subscribed and the dlcs are not the same es expansions? Can i buy an upgrade to the blackwater pack even though i bought the base game back in 2014 or something?

    • @matteomagnuson3318
      @matteomagnuson3318 2 года назад

      The newest expansion isnt included in the sub till the next new expansion rolls out.
      Also if you buy the collection version of the newest expansion it'll give you access to all the other expansions you missed.
      Get the collection if you don't wanna do the sub.
      Or you can get the sub and just buy the newest expansion standalone, would be cheaper than the collection but then there's the reoccuring cost for membership which will cost more in the long run but provides bonuses to make your gameplay experience smoother.

      @@matteomagnuson3318 Thank you for the response. But there are no difference between dlc and expansion? So all expansions include also for example thief guild quests? Or these are just in the sub? :S At least that's what it sounds like in the video. Besides i'm now playing the base game which i already own but i think i'm going to buy this High Isle LTO on steam and when i play regularly or a lot also a sub in addition.

      @@MethodWive Expansions are like huge dlc chapters, the thieves guild and dark brotherhood are mini dlcs that you have to purchase seperately. the expansions dont include any other dlcs.

    I didn't watch beyond the business model pricing. Still doesn't explain the point of subscription. But the main thing I was looking for was combat. Supposedly a beginners guide but zero info on combat for users who are looking into getting this game. WTF?

    There's a few too many systems in this game still, the MTX should be simplified. Honestly in a lot of ways the game was better at launch in terms of the overall value of progression. Maybe veteran levels worked oddly but the champion point system is just another WoW infinite progression system spinoff (not popular). I want to return but the fact that you can just buy player housing, consumes, have to buy a million DLCs, the clunky guild store system etc. all get in the way of making a really cohesive game. It's hard to beat the subscription model, it presents an incentive for developers to constantly be working on new content that you just get by default (simplifying the player experience) while not abandoning the live service in favor of the next "expansion".
    Leveling 1-50 doing PvP on my second character in this game was definitely a blast with a friend, but then you get to 50 and find out the meta (among geared players at 50) is just these passive buff spam builds... the class balance and design at least the last time I played a couple of expansions ago needed work. I'm not seeing a lot of overhauls pertaining to that in patches.

    Question for the people who've played the entire base game and most of the expansions. What should I do as a starting player: Start with the base game (600h?) or just start with one of the expansions? I work like 40hrs a week, so don't have much time to play the game.

    • @pevsfreedom
      @pevsfreedom 2 года назад +3

      It's not really that kind of game where you need to pick and choose. Play what you can when you can. The base game will last you a long, long time. But if you have an expansion, nothing is wrong with just playing that zone. It's mostly up to you and there's not many wrong ways to play the game.

    It's probably a good idea to just buy the base game first... That will provide you with adequate content and took me 3 years of playing 2 hours a day... By the time I got through all of the base game... Craglorn was added to the base game, so I did not have to buy that DLC, which has been discontinued... By the time I got through Craglorn, the Orsinium DLC was added, then the Imperial City, then Summerset. If you check out the history of ZOS's release schedule, you'll find that there's about a two-year lag between the time content is released as a "chapter," and the time it is discontinued and included with the base game content...

    Is it a good idea to play different dlc to level different character in order to not do the same things? I dont know what i have to do with 2nd character

    • @pevsfreedom
      @pevsfreedom 2 года назад

      It depends on how you play. I played my first character and did everything, and when I played I'd go back to them to do quests. Other characters I'd just go grind to max level in a few days, doing dungeons or whatever. In a game where accomplishments are a thing I think it's beneficial to have like a specific questing character.

    For such a crucial game mechanic as crafting to require buying DLC first is insane. So a beginner who buys the base game is forced to keep buying dlc in order to progress and maximize their character's potential. Over half the armor and weapon sets worth a damn that make up the meta also require purchasing the monthly subscription of ESO plus. Whether it's dungeon raiding or PVP, you will be useless and no one will want to group up with you unless you have certain armor sets for the meta build for your specific race/role. But the armor sets they insist on you having can only be obtained by defeating the hardest dungeons that require a large group that ALSO will insist on certain armor set requirements in order to join their dungeon raid lol this game is a whale only game with ZERO place for casuals who don't want or have the money to dump in the dlc and subscription. I played it when it was first released and even with the server lag it was better because these things were not an issue and everyone was on a level playing field and able to join a group or party without being hindered by meta paywalls. Free to play players are like peasants that are shunned by the community.
