- The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road is shaping up to be one of the very best expansions Bethesda has put out yet for the 10-year-old MMO. The new zone will be familiar to Oblivion fans, as it comprises The West Weald region just west of Cyrodiil.
West Weald is comparable in size to Vvardenfell and Craglorn, and there’s loads of content to fill in that space and then some. In addition to the autumnal tones of The West Weald’s Gold Road region, players will be able to finally explore the mysterious emergent jungle of Dawnwood, as well as the northern Colovian Highlands home to Ayleid Ruins.
ESO is newbie-friendly with its open-ended quest progression and open zones, but the story of Gold Road carries on from Necrom’s cliffhanger, bringing complexity to its overall plot. The new Scribing system is a game-changer that allows skill customization finally, and the new 12-player Trial
looks to be the team’s most creative yet.
Every one should try eso it is a very good game. So nmuch content from crafting, questing, dungeons, PvP housing etc.

agree it is a good game but not newbie friendly being that the game is so old now. took a 3 year break now im completely lost and are like no discords active with people in vc

I did the whole tutorial quest for scribing spells, and I still don't know what I am doing with that new spell crafting skill. :P It has you go around and get these pieces, but it really doesn't show you how to use the ability. That being said, I haven't used it at all since I finished the tutorial quest line. Not sure if I ever will.

I do not enjoy that I cannot change my armor as easily as in the other Elder Scrolls games. Takes forever to get new armor.
If you're playing this looking for oblivion / Skyrim level gameplay, you probably won't like ESO tbh
I got the elder scrolls online gold road deluxe collection & eso plus so in the future i’ll just buy the upgrade for fifty bucks I enjoyed it on my xbox series x with xbox game pass so I bought it on my playstation 5.🥂😁

Ya, if you get the collection DLC, you get the base game and ALL the DLC/expansions before Gold Road, so it's pretty good.
Every year when a new expansion comes out, they package it with all expansions + base game in a $60 version. This is opposed to the base edition which is the $40 expansion by itself
Whenever an expansion comes out it's always bundled with base game plus the previous expansions. The dlc dungeon stuff is separate and you can just get them through eso plus or use crowns to buy them
This is definitely a great expansion to a game that has faired better then wow plus if you have a xbox live subscription its free since xbox live gold was converted into gamepass core

I play both but ESO is much better imo. FF14 classes are linear so you can’t really customize your skills
Its the story on ffx will take months and thats skipping cutsenes i dint get the last to dlc and boy the grind is mad but better end game

Gotta spend $5,000 if you have been playing this game loyally and buying the expansions every year and have eso plus. Such a money grab, and the no hud footage is garbage, no one plays like that.
I use to play this game and love it. But constant balance changes. PvP lag and monetization greed made me stop.

EVERYTIME I see a video about eso like this I get excited, I download it again, and then combat starts and I stop. Please Zenimax... Players are begging for a combat revamp for a decade..
At least add the option to play the game in single player mode (without seeing other people) it’s immersion breaking.

It depends on what you like playing. Don’t expect a regular elder scrolls game. I’d say this game is fun solo but it is so much better with groups to play with. If your looking for a grindy game with tons of things to do then you should try it out

I bought the deluxe bundle with all the DLC last year
And the deluxe Golden Road, bundle comes with all of that old DLC

Why are MMO’s so popular? Stop eating up the slop people!!!!! This is why we don’t get multiple, rich, great, action adventure/open world rpgs every single year. People spend TONS of cash grabs like Gacha, MMO, and battle passes then wonder why we have no good games

ESO is an embarrasing bugfest that ZOS doesnt care to fix as long as you keep shoveling money at them. You cant even pvp in cyrodiil cause the lag spikes will eat your inputs. This game is barely more than the failure fallout 76 was, and by the same people. Don't waste your money on this horrible game guild wars is better

I had 25000 hours in eso. The most important thing i can tell you is that you own NOTHING and your efforts in the game mean nothing. Its literally just a sceme to pander to new players. Zos is pure evil youve been warned. Eso should be a hard pass for anyone who likes mmos or anyone who likes the elderscrolls franchise.

I start playing eso 4 years ago just for fun and doing the story and the events i really enjoy it.
@@Nostalgicaly the people who see their favorite RUclips crap on the game will almost always follow along and not think for themselves. If you enjoy Skyrim or oblivion then you’ll love eso. The story depth and the amount of content in the world is unmatched by any other mmo. Combat is definitely mid compared to other mmos but it has that Skyrim feel with abilities imo. Almost at 2k hours and still loving it

you "own" nothing? what does this even mean? it's a persistent online multiplayer game, obviously you don't own it. it's literally in the terms of service you agreed to the day you first logged in lol. you are either using the free tier or paying for ESO+, entitling you to access to service as defined in the terms of service and other contracts you agree to. if they shut it down or ban you - and all multiplayer games inevitably shut down - then that's it. that's the end of the game. but you agreed to that fact when you clicked Accept
