  • The current Iron Harvest Beta is great, however...as a beta tester, it is our job to test this version of the game, and I see a problem.

    Yeah the super heavy mechs are a issue! It doesn't make sense that a single unit can wipe out an entire army, especially considering the low population cap.
    It's like a M1 Abrams VS a Renault FT lol.

    May I suggest, that the Tur, Kaiser, and Rusviet Counterpart can only be produced once perhaps? I really don't want to see that game to be a C&C-Spamming-1000-Juggernauts-because-I-Can.

      Or you could raise how much pop count it takes up

      maybe make them weaker? or having more option in your army, so you can counter play, because even with a maximum of one the still dominate the batllefield way to hard when it comes in play.

      @@kyodairiker @Kaiser it would be cool if the LAst mech required some a type off building (research facility) before being able to be build. therefore, it would take you more time, some ressources, and a unit would be stuck at base to beuild the research facility. it gives you a hard time before getting the big beaffy mech

    Yeah lets hope we can avoid having big mech only be the only way to win. Im also hoping to have mech melee be a thing. Ever since I saw that mech do a spear charge in the trailer, I've been wanting to see that in in gameplay.

      Same thing here. That got me hooked on this game and I would like to see that again. Maybe that could be a way to handle the big mechs, two smaller units could put down a big mech "by hand". Something like the old Star Wars movies.

      Another upgrade tier for the workshop to produce them and hard cap for the big mechs would just do it.

    The stiefmutter look very annoying to deal with. the bomb are fast so your aren't able to react and they deal alot of damage quickly. Also the infantry seems weak. they are use for capture point early and being a buffer for your super mech to arrive.
    Speaking of the infantry, they look tame in all the faction. the only difference is what the base infantry use. polonia use riffle, saxony use submachine gun and rusviet use shotgun. the rest is pretty much the same with the grenadier, machine gunner, flamethrower, medic, engineer and all the weapon system. the only difference is with the heavy infantry, because they have very specific role and are recognisable on the battlefield.
    Sure the cool thing about iron harvest is the cool mechs in it, but i think more diverse infantry can be a improvement for the game. a exemple can be the engineer of the saxony having a smaller squad, but they use exo suit like their heavy infantry. They are more durable like their mechs, so they are able to follow them longer on the battlefield to repair them. in the other hand, they cannot take equipment or weapon system, so they have advantages and weaknesses and make them different from the engineer of polonia. maybe my exemple is a bad idea, but the point is to give the infantry more personality than just rifle vs submachine gun vs shotgun. By having a more diverse infantry you can combine them with your mechs and build more interest army composition and strategy around. Maybe it can help with the super mech rush.
    In the end, Iron harvest is still in Beta and this is clearly not the final form of this game, so everything can happen and i have hope in the future of this game.

    Your voice sound is too low compared to the I game sound and it's difficult to hear you when it's getting loud ingame. Would be nice if you could fix that :)

    I also feel it could be a balanced gap in general between the late-game mechs of the Saxony in comparison to the Polanians. The Kaiser just as an example has 7 weapons in total on it (2 being abilities) while the Tur only has 3 (the third one from the ability being a 3m ranged mortar attack just like the eisenhans which is pretty much useless.) The Tur also has 0 anti-infantry abilities and in general, just has worse stats than the Kaiser. I feel it is like this for more than just those 2 mechs though. The balance at the moment IMO definitely edges towards Saxony, but hopefully that can change when we get the third faction and all of the units into the game

    For me the best way to deal with it, is to put both Tur and Kaiser to tier 3 units, available after upgrade mech factory again (with a lot of resources).

    If this game wants to be more about strategy than no mech should be better than another. Like 1000 metal worth of grambarts should be just as good as 1000 metal of kaisers or whatever.
    Like in Starcraft, yea a Thor can kill most units in a 1v1, but If you take one of the weakest single units in the game and make enough to compare to the cost of the Thor, they win.

      true but comparing starcraft to a WW2 RTS is hard to do. and the single reason is...every shot taken in SC2 will land 100% , WW2 RTS..lol you have to account for RNJESUS taking the wheel sometimes.
