My brother and I went reef hopping for reef species. We went fishing for red Roman, Galjoen and Yellowbelly Rockcod. We finally got out of lockdown so this is our first mission after lockdown! I also reveal a secret and sneaky bait that I like to use on our coastline!
we spent the day moving from one spot to another to find some edible fish species! The fishing was slow but we managed to find some fish in tough conditions. Even though it was tough it was still a lot of fun!

Good old winter fishing! You lucky people, the day you in SA are allowed to fish again, us here in Namibia are on lockdown again, atleast i got a few sessions in. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it!!

Waited the whole lock down, making rigs, clean gear, sorting tackle box and then....💥 colon cancer!!! No fishing, no bike, no nothing....been in and out of hospital 6 times in 6 weeks. Looks like the rest of the year is lock down for me. Whooooooopy!

@@zoolookfishing I used to have snap offs when the bail was all the way to the left. It would automatically close. Since I moved it to the right it doesn't seem to happen.
Tell me, that yellow belly rock cod, are they good eating fish?
They are but we do not kill them, they are very slow growing and are residential so we throw all of them back. The need to be 60cm to be legally size but still if they are over we put them back. I urge you to please do the same🤙🏻
@@zoolookfishing I haven't caught 1 big enough yet, that day I caught one was at Arniston 3de Baai, was bout 35cm, put it back, but there was a guy that told me just as I released it, "y did I let it go, weet jy hoe lekker is daai vis om te eet" I just told him, bro dis Mos nog a babatjie man.
