I’ve been trying to keep up with the latest makeup products but when there’s videos about luxury clothes, handbags, shoes, etc I don’t watch bc I can’t afford those things. I’m a RN and make $100,000 a year. I can’t drop $5000 on a purse but I can spend $100 on a Chanel product. I feel bad about myself when I see influencers showing those things which I know is stupid. I work hard and long hours so I feel like I can reward myself with special things but I’m not rich. I have been watching you for years and you have an amazing personality and work ethic which I admire.
it is a bit ridiculous, right? As soon as I saved enough for a Chanel WOC, the price doubled... lol oh well!! Even YSL is going up up up every month. :( :(
Don’t feel bad about yourself, be kind with yourself instead. You have one of the most humble and compassionate jobs. You have to see all of these unboxings of luxury items, with the perspective that influencers, we have created a second or third income through our social media accounts (say RUclips, TikTok, IG) with that is how most of us allow ourselves to buy some luxury items. I know there are some influencers that have disposable income and they very openly have shared their type of 8 to 5 job, some dentists as an example, or married with another professional, and those who are single with no children … well there you have it, they are not like say me, that I have to think not only on the present but future of 3 children. If anything my very humble advice before you spend your hard earned money in a bag, invest it, even if in little amounts on something that can multiple your investment. I also work long long hours on my businesses in addition to my YT channel, to the point I have gotten used to don’t have an official day off. Don’t get discouraged, that financial freedom is a journey, you will get there.

I like that you film in natural light. Honestly, you do the best job showing what a product is actually going to look like on the skin. I would buy more on sephora if the picture examples really showed what it looked like on the skin. Honestly, they are so off. Thank you first the feedback 😊 I try to implement my makeup purchase after review, either on vlogs or on other sites down videos that not necessarily are super focus in terms of makeup only. For my bracelet, I sometimes link it, mostly on the preloved sites because you can pretty much only get it directly in boutique, it is a Bulgari Serpenti with diamonds at the head and end. Hi Jaqueline, I absolutely adore your video’s. I’m from te Netherlands and I never used to watch video’s on you tube or follow influencers. Untill one day I googled a make up product I had my eye on and stumbled across one of your video’s and now I am hooked🙈. You are so honest, beautifull, full of joy and most of all kind hearted. A few years ago I was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Luckily I survived ( I am in remission) due to a lot of chemo and an anonymous donor who gave me his or her bone marrow. After I was released from the hospital I could not do my job ( lawyer for local government) anymore and I am still dealing with the aftermath. Don’t get me wrong, I do focus on what I can do instead of what I no longer can. Make up makes me happy and your video’s make my day ( my creditcard might disagree🙈). The most important lesson I have learned from being so close to death is that every day is a blessing. I enjoy simple things like seeing a beautifull flower or hearing birds sing so much more. And making memories with friends and family has so much meaning. And I do love pretty things and buying make up ( and skincare) make me happy🤩. Sorry for the long message, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you and your videos and that they do make a difference. Big hug😘😘

I feel you so much about the growth of chanels on youtube. I feel like it is such a luck these days. Being a mom and juggling daily life it takes soooo much time of me to edit my videos as well - i am far far behind to where you are, but I really try to put out the quality content - let little to no visibility. It is sad but at the end of the day, I try to remind myself that 1. I do it because it brings me a joy and 2. If I continue doing what i do and stay consistent, people who search a girl like me will eventually find me one day.

I have really bad dark circles and the Caliray corrector works great with the ND concealer. They work better than the Chanel sublimage eye concealer.

I really enjoy your content. I know it’s so frustrating for creators. It’s like RUclips overall views are down etc. I think so much as moved to Tik Tok. I love long form content. But I get it. We can consume it so much faster than you can created it. On Tik Tok they can crank out several videos per day. You have to do what is best for you and your family. Armani is a couple tones deeper than CT. I think the Armani one is very alike, not in formula, but in shade as the new Patrick Ta Blush, the one launched just a little over a month ago. Thank you for asking! 😊💖✨

Hi Jackeline , I understand your frustration and I’ll be honest in saying that you’re a luxury brand makeup user and not many people can afford only these expensive brands. I think that if you can bring in some drugstore brands and dupes then more people would be interested. The Amazon hauls with affordable products are also well liked across RUclips. Personally I believe that with all the luxury products you have , finding dupes of those in drugstore brands would bring in more people. I love your channel and I do buy your recommendations but I also find myself searching for other alternatives than these expensive brands. I totally enjoyed the previous dupes video and I even shared it with friends who I know prefer these type of videos. However I didn’t click on it because it says Luxury Designer Dupes but the word dupe was concealed by the time stamp so I just saw the first two words and wasn’t interested until I saw this video and heard what you said about the previous video and rushed to see the dupes video!! Love your channel always!! ❤
I think shorter videos reviewing one or two products would be fine. Then you could take less time but post more often. I think that’s what the algorithm rewards.

I know that you have been on RUclips for years, but. Ig and TikTok, are more new.platforms. I think if you continue on those as well, you will get it there🙏. Now my strategy would be,, for any business, it would be to hire someone, like publicist, or someone, who is social media guru, who would be able to create strategy for your brand, not just RUclips.
