$4K & that's a bloody clean Holden VS Series II ute! Two things a man needs in his life, a shed & a Holden Ute!
You looked at home in VS Ute Scotty. I reckon if the cameras weren't there, you would have stashed it in your shed! I'm lucky to own 2 VY Utes, a V6 & A V8 and they both get looks. I'm looking forward to this series. I did notice on the runs that the tonneau cover sagged in the back when you got some speed behind you which would have caused drag. I recommend if you can find a hard lid for it if possible.

Assuming that the 3800 V6 in rear drive configuration retains the small bell housing from the 60 * engines, the all aluminum LS4 ( 5.3 ) found in ( USA spec at least ) front drive cars has the same small bell housing.
The only real issue with such a swap is the LS4 does not have a spot for a starter mount, the starter is bolted to the transmission.
The channel LS4 King has info for front drive stuff and got together with Moroso to make a low mount starter / oil pan conversion.

I had one of those a few years back in a sedan and I have always said they were the last of the light commodores
And I’m pretty sure it was the same colour as factory a brown red metallic
(Just seen it in better light that is a vy colour)
I used call it a coke can on wheels
You didn’t get back in and show us what the handy cap was going to be Scotty 😂😂

Haha wish I'd seen that at the auctions, she's a bloody nice old girl already and would have been great with the manual (if you didnt use second)...
Looking forward to the next chapter! :)

Devo its not twin g35s on the Eco but should be a good build series as always 😇😇

The Supermang should tick the V6 itch. We'll be turboing that later in the year.

Did you get the weight rechecked. I thought if you paid that much for a weighbridge certificate it should be accurate. Caravan owners and truckers are relying on this to be a safe and reliable measurement. From memory the curb weight of those utes v6 and manual were about 1400.

It'd be good to see them do something other than big turbos and a special auto.
Let's see how well Scotty can shift a manual down the straight.

Did the MX5 have a TTLS before the Barra? Did the Barra put out more power and was the setup better to run better times? Is the MX5 lighter than this ute? If yes to all of these questions, how can you expect to get 7’s out of this when MX5 said no???

    • @STREETMACHINETV
      @STREETMACHINETV  Год назад +2

The MX5 was 5.7-litres, and this will be 7-litres with a lot more boost than the 5.7 could ever handle
