My grandmother made this tablecloth for me for a wedding gift, she started it in 1980. I still have it. Very precious.
What a wonderful heirloom.
That is so sweet! It’s interesting you mention a wedding gift because every time I see filet crochet bedspreads, I think about trousseaus and wonder if people used to make things like this before getting married. Definitely a bygone era but it’s sweet to think about 💕
Now this is for me.
I feel the same
Me too!
My hook says 1.5, but it's actually 2.0mm. I'm using #10 Aunt Lydia's thread and the gauge at row 7 is 14 inches. It's huge.
Okay I finished through row 16 and took screen shots of the rest of the pattern, thank you. I have only one mistake, and extra dc in one of the block groups.
This pattern would make a pretty pillow.
With a simple border this would make a lovely quick present for anyone who likes vintage! I'm thinking Christmas. Nice video!
thank you for another bucket list crochet pattern. You are an inspiration and helped relight my interest in crochet things other than scarfs and shawls.
Ditto !!
So excited. Just purchased. Thank you for writing it out!
I am definitely going to make it and the butterfly one too plus going to make a block plan one to make a table runner, they are very pretty and my friend will love it ❤
I love this! It would make a pretty table runner.
OMG! Corinna that is stunning! When I look at these blocks, I see a gorgeous shawl - no surprise there! I love making shawls and that's what the illustration shows! I did a few pieces of filet crochet decades ago, but it really wasn't my thing. But I think I'll try this, maybe in a beautiful peach Yonkey Monkey I bought and didn't use. Thank you for teaching us this with yet another of your excellent tutorials! And kudos to you for sharing your written instructions here & in your pattern. That is VERY time consuming and VERY helpful!
So nice thank-you watching you from my bed during my chemotherapy ❤
Thx so much for this video tutorial ❤I’m German and perfectly understood everything you explained. I read German filet patterns before and always got confused about the 3 dc - 4 dc blocks 😵💫
Now I finally understood, bought your pattern and will start crocheting today. Thx again ❤please continue to publish such beautiful patterns ! I’m a huge fan ❤

Love this !! and my sister just loves butterflys and anything fairy, soooo am thinking to make just a cushion with one side butterfly and one side fairy ring for a crismus pressie. But I will have to re-watch your video verrrrry carefully because by row 3 I was already totally confuzzled and discombobulated with my counting spaces and blocks 🤦♀🤦♀ so frogging I will go. PS. herewith one very genuine offer to type out your handwritten patterns for you xxx

OMG! Thank you so very much for this tutorial ❤. I have just written out the rest of the pattern and it took me forever! So thank you for taking the time to do this for us. I am making it in DK and using 3mm hook and it is going in my net curtain. Thank you again ❤
This is stunning! Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I do want to make this and am looking forward to the butterfly as there are stitches in it i haven't done in filet work. I'm excited about it. Thank you again.😊
This looks like so much fun! I have so many ideas for doing crochet and I have no time!!! 😢 But this is in my craft video list.
Thank you for explaining filet crochet so well. You made it so understandable, I really appreciate your time and effort!
I always thought this type of crochet was very very difficult but watching you do it makes it look less difficult, maybe I could give it a try. I plan on it!
That’s beautiful and it’s really awesome of you to share your written directions with us. I never did any fillet crochet until now I’m trying to make a interlocking fillet mesh blanket for my grandson for his 3rd birthday. I’m definitely going to be getting the pattern for these! Thank you much love
Love it! Love it!! Love it!!!♥️
I am going to use these for a curtain, too!!!♥️🧶
Perfect!
I looooove filet crochet!!❤❤❤. I think I will do it, thanks for this tutorial. Wonderful work!!!
Thank you! 😊
Aww this is lovely. Think I may give this a try. I love the look of filet crochet but never tried it. You are such an inspiration. Best Wishes x
I so enjoyed this video...and it rattled around in my head today. I melted and bought your pattern from Etsy....and started the flower one this evening! It will be a bedspread in months to come! Such a lot of fun and I can highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you Corinna! Yerra diamond...(London compliment)❤
would like to know if you post more videos on youtube like this one? I hope you do because I've fallen in love with that way and crochet and I can't read patterns on paper, I can only watch videos. You make it look so easy and I quickly caught it and wrote it down and think it's so nice that you make it look easy😊 Really hope you come with many more❤️
Holy moly !!! I have just begun to learn to crochet (well at least this style), and it was so hard to keep the chain from not curling, then my fat fingers kept getting in the way, then the thread was curling up. How do you do it and keep it all together Ms. Vintage Crochet? You inspired me to buy thread and the super small steal hooks, but wowza, you sure are a super professional. I’m going to keep at it even if it takes me a year to make this pattern. 😞
I would love to get these two patterns!
That's so pretty. Just have to try this one out. Maybe a bedspread for the guest room?... Thank-you very much for all your painstaking work, Corinna.
That's really pretty just found your channel. Subscribed.
I love flowers.
I would probably try this in a yarn. It's easier for me.
But that would be pretty adding it to a jean jacket or T-shirt making a boho look.
I loved watching one of your other videos when the patterns are old. Very cool.
Help! That's really lovely, I'd love to give this a go but I'm not sure about the yarn / threads. They seem to have different names etc here in Britain. I have googly -doodled about it but the explanations are still as clear as mud.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m starting this block now as a test to put on my night stand. It’s the first time I’ve ever crocheted with 10 weight thread. I don’t know how you do it constantly. My 49 y/o eyes have to put readers on. But it’s fun!
I stole your idea of making the Peacock Trellis Filet into a bedspread! I’ve been loving working it! Can’t wait for these vids! As always!😊❤
That is awesome!
Could even work as a tablecloth! I’ve been looking for some patterns 😊
I have an idea for you Corinna! It would be a lot of work but i think it would be fun! You could make a mystery blocks coverlet. Instead of just 2 designs, they would be all different, and you could write them out line by line like you did for these. I think it would be so much fun to not know what design your making until you finish the square!
I am beginner and I have just finished one project (modern crochet project) but this has inspired me to get better at crochet and someday do this beautiful project. Please keep doing this! You are very talented!
You are talented too! and I have no doubt you can totally do this, practice with worsted weight yarn and a 3.5 or 4mm hook before you get get into the thread, it gives you a good idea about how your tension needs to be and how to work with tight stitches :) you got this
I never liked filet crochet before. Turns out I was just intimidated by it. So I never looked into it and never tried. It looks difficult. I’m going to try it now. Thank you for showing me that it is not difficult. I’m going to try some simple patterns first but I have in mind something I really want to do in filet crochet.
In my crazy world, this is called synchronicity (or happy coincidence): it has been almost 2 months searching for a especific pattern for curtains, only finding adaptations for shawls and what not. I will certainly give a try to this one and the following of the butterfly, it'll take time but believe me the final result is worth it.
I feel like this is one of those patterns that's meant to have an embellishment added in the middle. Whether it's attaching another small flower in another color, or adding a monogram to the pattern, there is room for personalization. Especially in something that would be a family heirloom blanket.
You should be able to convert your hand written scans into a text file. I don't know your system, but do a search on your scanner and go to their FAQ.
Beautiful work!
This is stunning! I love it. How will you be turning it into a curtain?
Do you reckon I could make one of those trendy "mesh" shrugs with these squares? I think it'd look cool. Can't wait to make it!
So beautiful 🌸 how do you join fillet crochet squares?
What a beautiful block, Corrina, could you please let us know the finished size in the no 10 thread. Thank you so much, for writing out the pattern & making it so easy to follow. This is going on my to make list & hopefully the butterfly one too, once I finish the 4 garments I have on the go for Christmas. I am thoroughly enjoying your channel, keep up the fabulous work, your stitching is beautiful & like me if a stitch doesn’t look quite right you take it out. ❤️❤️👏👏🇬🇧
Corinna I’m hoping you put these 2 designs into your curtain
Corinne, thank you for sharing this beautiful vintage pattern! I can't wait to get started!!! ❤ I wanted to ask if the arrows within the pattern are correct? Small detail, but I wanted to check. I plan on using a thicker yarn, maybe a fingering (?) Thanks again! 😊
yes they are :)
