Varanasi - Spritual Capital of India is located 1800kms from Namma Bengaluru is a city in Uttar Pradesh known for thousands of temple , Ghats , Ganga Aarti and its famous street foods. Its reachable by train and flight from Bengaluru. Minimum time required 3-4 days.
We reached Varanasi around 6:30am through train and took an auto to Bhelupur where we had booked our stay at GoStops. Its a Hostel and costs around 500-600 per day. You can book it through online apps.

We started at KaalBhairav Mandir which is the first thing to do in Varanasi. Kaal means death / time. Kaalbhairav is the one who removes fear of death and time. Also he is the protector of Varanasi during day time.

Then we went to try the most famous dessert of Varanasi - Malaiyo. A dessert made with milk foam and is famous during winters. However, we visited during summer we could just try it at one place next to KaalBhairav mandir. Best time to try Malaiyo : Nov - Feb. If you visit Varanasi during winter , then try at the below location..

We started walking on the Ghats of Varansi for next 1 and half hours and visited around 10-12 Ghats. And finally we reached the Manikarnika Ghat - Most famous ghat of Varanasi. This ghat is considered as one of the auspicious ghat where the death is celebrated as its considered as 'Gateway to Heaven'. The perspective towards death completely changes once you visit Manikarnika Ghat.

After this we found a big arch and entered inside but later realized that it is Kashi Vishwanatha Mandir. We need to keep the baggage and phone inside the locker before entering the temple. Best to visit during afternoon times for lesser crowd.

After amazing darshan at Kashi Vishwanath temple we went to the Assi Ghat to witness the epic Ganga Aarti. At Varanasi, Ganga Aarti is performed everyday at all 84 ghats during Morning and evening times. Best ghat to witness Ganga Aarti during morning time is at Assi Ghat and during evening time at Dashashwamed Ghat. It is better to visit the ghat atleast half hour before to get a best place to sit for the Ganga aarti view.

After witnessing amazing Ganga Aarti we visited a cafe next to Assi Ghat. Its called as 'Pizzeria Vaatika Cafe' where the first pizza of India is introduced. However , we visited here to try Desserts.
