- Trump fired Summer Zervos for her stupidity on Season 5, episode 1.
She was fired for being stupid on the first episode of Season 5 of the Apprentice.
Now she's back with Gloria Allred accusing him of sexual assault.

I really think she deserved to be fired for being dumb. Trump gave her a few chances and warned her she might be fired. Now that I read that she really didn't like to work, I got the feeling she interrupted Trump on purpose so she could go home. And to think on yahoo people were on me for saying how dumb she was. Dumbness is not a good trait. I was annoying my boss for acting dumb and he wanted to fire me. He was my brother-in-law by the way. He thought I should act better.
Two issues, one, she has to be embarrassed by this firing and two, IF she was sexually assaulted, why didn't she bring up charges WHEN it happened years ago? Trump is a VERY rich man so there's no's no reason to wait except for political gain.
How could Trump even do her if she was fired on the first episode of the season???
He later called her in for a job interview outside of the Apprentice. Why he did makes no sense - she was shown to be a nutcase on the show.

you should watch it..he's the same in the show and in real..I've always been a fan of him ever since i watched it and I'm excited for him to win the election. He was always fair and holds everybody responsible for their part, It's about business but you learn a lot from his character too.
It's great. There's always some great lessons. It's embarrassing for the contestants because it's made public, but I appreciate them making mistakes (which anyone could make) for us.
For example, him firing her, he actually gives her a good reason why she would have kept quiet if she were thinking strategically.

This series is what had me realize he's one of them rich people who works for their money. I've never known a work environment like this. His company's culture is my dream employer.

I've seen that Trump will sometimes fire someone purely based on how they present themselves when put on defense. It's fascinating to watch. He respects fighters with common sense, which is what he is.

Tarek's near fatal mistake was bringing in Lee and Lenny over a personal spat. Considering his team came short by just three units and that Summer was definitely a negative force on the team, he could have brought her in alone, and she'd be fired.
Your absolutely right! For Tarek, to bring in Lee and Lenny was not a smart move, it only harmed his cause and he should have only brought Summer back into boardroom.

Watching the episode though, Tarek was actually a pretty good leader. Except for the three in the boardroom, everyone else approved of his leadership, they came within three units of winning, and it was more than obvious Summer was a negative force - with her on the team, it's a wonder they didn't lose by 30 or more units.
How he should have handled it was, upon returning to the initial boardroom meeting say, "After this hard fought battle, we talked the matter over, and agree that Summer is the one to be fired. She came in with a negative attitude (saying from the start we were going to lose), didn't pull her weight (made only one phone call), and was in general a negative force. With a little less negative energy from Summer - or without Summer altogether, we would have won this contest by a landslide." And then, he could let the rest of the team speak up in his support.
Yeah I think they wanted to create a narrative of she's messed it up for herself, I don't think Tarek was actually at risk of being fired, later in the series Trump proclaims him a great leader. I don't think the gift bag thing was quite as dumb as they made it sound either, the mistake was not realizing that the term 'gift bag' conjures an image in peoples mind of a bag with gifts rather than a bag as a gift.

look at this exchange between Trump and Zervos as Trump fires Zervos from the Apprentice. Pay close attention between 3:39-3:43 of the video. It strongly bolsters Zervos's credibility.

Trump and his supporters will no doubt argue that when Trump said, "How stupid is that", he was not showing disdain for Zervos's insistence on telling the truth. Instead, they will claim, that he was saying that Zervos was stupid for interrupting him as he was about to fire one of her competitors instead of her. Fine. Let's give them that point. What is beyond dispute is that this clip shows that Zervos is a fundamentally honest person with a lot of courage and integrity. She KNEW that she was on thin ice because she had contributed little to the team's assignment. She KNEW that there was a very good chance she would be fired. She almost certainly had to have known that Trump was on the verge of firing Tarek, thus sparing her for the next week of competition. Yet, she thought Tarek was being unfairly portrayed and didn't want him to be fired for the wrong reason. Thus she spoke out on his behalf, knowing full well that doing so increased the risk that she would be fired. Thus, a minute of video from The Apprentice should bolster most people's confidence in her trustworthiness.
