All I can say is thank you! My MacBook was ready to explode, Apple didn't carry the battery any more and I wasn't sure what to do. After watching your video several times I was convinced with your guidance, I could do this.
Did it today and it went smooth as silk. No more puffy battery case. No more overheated laptop.
You are an excellent instructor and your step by step instructions with video snippets were perfect for me. I'm an older adult and not very computer savvy but very technically inclined. This was perfect.
    Thanks Again
    John

Thank you. Your step by step instructions we right on target. I'm just a n average Joe with no computer repair knowledge, opening the cover of a computer is usually "scary" but following you tutorial to the dot and was able to successfully replace the dead battery which had expanded drastically. The expanded battery would always wobble when on a flat surface. Cheers! All fixed. Thank you very much!

Thanks so much for this! I also liked the music in the background- I was half-watching this while replacing my battery, checking back for those specific little details- prying the adhesive is really the most difficult part! 😂l really appreciated the reset actions you showed at the end. Other videos mentioned nothing about that, well- most of them said “take to Mac store” and I just saved myself at least $200 by doing this on my own! Thanks again!

My wife's MBP 15 retina from mid 2015 was working only plugged. I ordered iFixit battery pack and followed your video tutorial. It was sooo easy. Believe me: I use no drop of glue remover (basically alcohol) to remove the old battery pack. Dental floss is your best friend. Thanks Kamil & thanks iFixit 😎

Thank you for this man. Followed your instructions and my mac is running great. The one mistake I made was to push the small black track pad connector tab up instead of clamping it down with my finger. I panicked because my track pad and keyboard weren't working when I booted up. I ran through your steps again and noticed my mistake. Your instructions were perfect, just posting just as a warning to everyone else. Appreciate it!

I just changed my MacBook battery with this tutorial. Definitely have floss and Goo Gone in hand. It is much easier than I thought. Just be careful when lifting connectors or the latch of the trackpad cable (understand and see what you are doing). Thank you again for this well explained tutorial

Just followed this guide! Literally had it in front of my macbook I was fixing, and every step was exactly as you mentioned.
One tip I think helped me, is I used some adhesive/velcro to fix the macbook to the work surface, so that when I used floss and string, the macbook didnt slide.
    Thank you for this!

Thanks Kamil, great video and info especially about the resetting etc. Laptop totally fixed now. I used a London Oyster card and nail varnish remover to deal with the adhesive. One point though. It wasn't obvious to me that the battery should be at 0% before starting and this info only comes at about 3'45" in the video after quite a bit of disassembly. Noobs watch out!

I don't know what I was thinking but I used my 9" diving knife to remove the old battery, it's all I had. I just dug that thing out like an ingrown toenail...I was afraid the trackpad was no longer going to work...fortunately for me everything worked! if you're reading this,DO NOT do what I did!! I guess the girl I was doing it for bought the cheaper battery because it only came with a couple of screwdrivers...took about 10 minutes but it's working fine, thanks for your help and I promise if I would have the right tools I would've done it just like you did..😅

You just saved me £220 for a shitty battery replacement at the repair salon. They changed my battery in 2020 and it was swollen after 1.5 years! I doubt it was a good quality battery as the original one lasted for over 5 years. We will see how long this one will last for but even if the same amount of time as the previous one I prefer to pay half of the price.

@@matixscott1716quite well. Depending on what I am doing, on high cpu usage like editing or recording it lasts for 2 hours. Otherwise with normal work around 5 hours.

Yeah it helps to cut the glue under the battery.. in the newer models of MacBook they used sticky tapes that you can remove by pulling the tabs however i also miss the good old days when you could just open the laptop unscrew 4 bolts and remove the battery.. the only thing was that the laptops were 30 cm thick xD
