- Binge eating disorder is now considered the most common eating disorder in the US.
It's characterized by episodes of eating unusually large amounts even in the absence of hunger, followed by feelings of guilt and shame.
So in this video i'm going over 5 tips to help you stop binge eating and gain back control.

I hate when they say "plan your meals" or "throw out your junk foods" because im not the one planning and buying the food!! M'y family does it...
Same! And I cant tell my parents that I need to eat different food because that will make me look picky or something
I do the shopping but when you're buying for others they felt like they were being punished. It's hard all around

Nice suggestions to refrain form "overeating" or "indulging" more than you would like, but as a long term full blown binge eater I would say these are good in theory but don't work in practice for binge eaters. Sure some will find it useful though so still worth posting.
Just cut the carb and you will be fine
Nice suggestions but sometimes I can't stop binge eating and indulging food in my face because personally I love to eat so much and it's been like a distraction for me for whenever I feel the need to start binge and my mind wonders around and my thoughts and feelings keep starting to cave in

Getting used to fasting is also great. You teach yourself discipline that you dont need to be constantly snacking on something
I have been suffering from BED since 2005.
I have tried EVERYTHING you can possibly think of to stop binging, everything mentioned in this video.
I don’t purge but I wish I could, but since I don’t seem to have a gagreflex all the food stays inside and gets digested.
My weight has been a constant Jo-Jo since August 2005, when my parents split up.
When I’m at my parents house or friends or somebody else I’m always scared, because when my binging urge hits I’m totally on autopilot and the function “Oh that’s not my food, I should at least ask before” disappears.
I have eaten outdated food, even cat and dog food, frozen food…anything
And the next morning, the kitchen looks like a grizzly bear 🐻 and a pack of hungry wolfes scavenged the entire fridge, food smeared on all the handles and I have to apologize a lot, replace what I took as quickly as possible and clean up.
It comes to the point that I can’t do sleepovers at anyone without the fear of “it” hitting me with a brick 🧱.
It’s so frustrating at times.
I hate that I love it.

I am having a strange issue. I have always had a robust appetite but 2 years ago I started to drop weight dramatically. I started to increase my caloric intake but it did not help. Eventually I started to binge and eat excessively, almost like panic eating because I felt as if were starving to death. That resulted in inflammation and joint pain and acid reflux but not weight gain. I went to the doctor and all they could find was acid reflux, not the reason for the weight loss. Thyroid healthy. No parasites. No allergies that they could determine No cancer. They asked if I was anorexic because of my weight loss and super boney arms. Some years on and I still compulsively binge eat, particularly around lunch I have gotten my weight up to a healthy weight but all this eating is giving me acid reflux and inflammation and yet despite this I am still having nutritional deficiencies no matter how much healthy food or vitamins I add. I exercise everyday. In the mornings 30 minutes yoga and in the afternoon 30 to 45 minutes of other activities cardio or weights but I cannot seem to build muscle properly. Since nothing is physically wrong is this just stress??? If I stop binge eating am I going to die of starvation? Note: I do not throw up except sometimes the "reflux" but not like when you are ill. I do get periods of diarrhea which during my worst period lasted months. To me it seems like a food allergy but the tests say it is not.

Thanks. I am a very careful eater with a very good body 6 pack coming in solid people kept offering junk lots of junk. Im 5 and a half stone ( thats the not so healthy part but on my way to healthy bulk) ex boyfriend was going on about how i wasnt bigger and horrible looking im the size of five year old. People constantly offered food and excessive fluid. I got scared and lost my appetite completely people even came up to me eating. I did binge a bit out of stress. Today im just not going to eat at all. Feel sick. Dont want any fat just muscle. People comment the food cant be fatty. I have otherexia as well. Wont eat takeaway or butter or milk often and get low calcium levels sometimes after dietician wrongfully insuinuated my 500 cal diet daily was too high in fat and sugar when is below reference intake in both. Healthwise ive very strong can lift 40 kg and can ride a bike an hour and run though that hurts my knees. My body fat level was last measured at 12 percent 6 pounds heavier. Im also two inches smaller since then. Im female. Doctor is happy ill be ok she does want me to bulk. Going to start fasting as i belueve stress would add fat

eat Dr. McDougall food plan...vegan with starch, no dairy, eggs & meat. You feel satisfied without high calories. I wish I knew about this when I was younger.
