I prefer the Hachiya persimmon, I have Giombo, Saijo, jiro, fuyu and the hachiya. My Giombo and jiro are not bearing yet although the Giombo did flower, I picked the flowers. My Hachiyas are very big this year.
That's a good variety. They're suppose to ripen earlier than other types. A little disappointed about the seeds. But peaches have big seeds too so I can't complain.
I'm in grow zone 8A. Persimmons should grow easily in your area. I would check that it has direct sun for 8 hours a day in the summer. They don't do well in light, sandy soil. Good luck!
How do you promote leaf growth? What would be a good organic fertilizer you recommend..thanks and great video as well blessings to you

I'm considering getting another persimmon tree, but I have so many other fruit trees that I need to put in the ground that I might not have the space.
Love the video. I have a coffee cake variety that produced about 50 persimmons this year. They are great but they do have large seeds.

What growing zone are you in? A lot of Asian persimmons don't seem to do well in my zone 7.
