I have always wanted to learn a sport which I could enjoy while keeping me physically and mentally agile, I am 51 and feel swimming would be perfect for me.

I have not swam for over 20 years. I'm swimming now because I have bad arthritis in both knees. After a couple months back to swimming, my right shoulder is hurting and sometimes the left also. Came to your channel to learn proper freestyle technique and breathing. I hope that proper technique and breathing will help with the shoulder pain. Thank you for your videos.

Swimming is such a great sport to build you up physically, especially if you are a bit broken down ... sometimes shoulder pain in freestyle can come from breathing too soon and putting your shoulder in an awkward position while taking the breath ..the key is generate momentum in your stroke so that when you are gliding you can comfortably get a breath with the shoulder in the right position...thanks for watching and wish you all the best!@@crazydogs2

Good video! I have a 1 mile ocean swim in just under 2 weeks. I'll try to apply this. I really like how you focus on the critical issues.
