  • Hey guys, this is the fourth part of working on the opening scene. In the next video, I finished working on detailing the terrain, the grid turned out to be very chaotic and high - within 1 million triangles, this is a serious figure and it will take up almost all the free space in your RAM, and to prevent this from happening in my game will properly increase performance. In the video, I make a “strap” and create streams that the internal algorithm reads and then build an even grid. In the end, I managed to lower the mesh to 456 thousand. triangles, this is about 60% less than the main one.
    If, for example, you lower your terrain even further, you will lose the detail you sculpted.
