Percussion instruments not mentioned: Piccolo snare, trash crash, gock block, cat meow, typewriter, spoons, music stand (I have played a music stand), claves, brushes, and trash can (I have also performed with someone who played a trash can). These are just the ones off the top of my head.
I own a set of wind chime made entirely out of chains. You have to play them by taking a hand full of chains and quote “fondle them until the sound comes out.”
Yes, you can. I've used drum sticks to play the bass before, by using the rebound of the stick to strike strings at different notes and times, and created a pretty cool bass line while doing it.
I play vibraphone, violin, and piano, and in terms of difficulty, I veleive that percussion is the most difficult, but the viol family is my favorite in terms of like, the sound it makes.
I have to put myself on Team Bass. I play the Tuba, Bass Trombone, Tenor Trombone, Euphonium, Baritone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Cornet, and Mellophone. Oh, I can't forget about the slide whistle.
Percussion is always the hardest. You need to make a remix rap. Was that a gong or a Tam Tam, I've even played a chair, Fire cracker, bird whistle, garbage can with snare. In STOMP they clapped with hands, pounded feet and swept with brooms, and if you can hear a pin drop there's a drummer in the room. In Blast! there was this one guy making fart sounds with his hands. Some would say the piano is another drum just warnin' this would mean a drummer would be the one who plays his organ.
I play Trombone for concert and jazz and marching euphonium for marching band. But i’m starting on TENORS for winter drum line with literally no percussion experience except for watching your videos and messing around on a practice pad.
I play Viola, Trumpet, Piano, Guitar, Recorder, Drum Kit, Vocals, and I wish I had a Synth, but I just do music production under the hood, so I guess it's okay. I tried to conduct my friends playing their instruments, but I just gave up cause it was too hard. I'm really good at following along with the conductor though.
Holy Cow, yes! Percussion is definitely by far the hardest instrument. I play bass guitar, ukulele, drum set, piano, sax, and tuba. I've been in percussion for many years, and I've marched snare and bass, and I can easily say percussion has been the hardest.
Btw, that bridge on the music video is in my hometown, Tartu, Estonia. It's called friendship bridge or Sõpruse sild in Estonian. I was like what, really, when I saw it.
DAMN Marine! That is one hella of a LOT of work put into one video!! Huge Thumbs on this one! ...and I NEVER leave home without my Runja in my car! NEVER leave home without it!!
I play Viola(Team Bass), Trumpet(Neutral), Piano(Neutral), Guitar(Team Violin), Recorder(Team Bass), Tenor Drums(Team Bass), Drum Kit(Team Bass), Bass Guitar(Team Bass), and Voice(Neutral). The only Team Violin instrument I have is Guitar, so I identify with Team Bass more, but whotevs.
The horns are split, saxes and trombone shas chosen jazz, trumpets and tubas remain neutral, and the french horns are trying to surrender (despite not picking a side.)
I'm also in percussion though I'm a 7th grader- I started in 5th grade. I played the base drum when marching in a parade (I had it strapped on me and everything lol), a rototom in Louie Louie, snare in The Battle from The Chronicles of Narnia, triangle in "An Olde English Christmas" Suite, and tambourine, triangle, wood block, and sleigh bells in Variations on a French Carol. I mostly did snare in 6th grade because my percussion teacher made us do that but we still learned everything on bells/ glock. Now, in 7th grade, I'm in the top band (symphonic band) in the middle school but I still have to work with all the other percussionists (including the really trashy ones who in in the lowest band [there are 3 bands]) and it's really annoying. Although, my new percussion teacher is making a whole ONLY PERCUSSION CONCERT. Super cooool. The song I get to play in the 7th and 8th grade ensemble is the vides and then I have two back up vides, which are literally the worst people you could ever get to have to play with. I could go into depth but I won't. The concert is in a week from yesterday. It's super professional. We dress up like we would be in an orchestra concert. Anyway, I'm suddenly really good at key board instrument after trying out for all region. Right now, I'm a little stressed with band because we got our solo and ensembles earlier this week and my solo is kinda difficult because almost everything I play are 16th notes. If you wanna look up what my solo is, it's called City Streets from Shazam. And the contest is April 10th. And then we have UIL, which we haven't gotten the music yet and the contest is on April 23. And then we have our Spring concert in May and we are doing 3 songs. And the percussionists never get to play with the band. Ahhhh. It's a lot in a short amount of time. Oh yeah, and it's in STARR testing season too soooooooooo I have to do all of that. Sorry, I'll shut up now. I tend to get in a ramble when talking about band.
Lyrics for the "100 Percussion Instruments" rap song are in the description. Feel free to sing along!

The concert timpanist was Leonardo Soto of the Houston Symphony.
I have to put myself on Team Bass. I play the Tuba, Bass Trombone, Tenor Trombone, Euphonium, Baritone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Cornet, and Mellophone. Oh, I can't forget about the slide whistle.
Primary is flute, secondary is baritone, and I've also done some percussion. ;)
When you forget piano in your percussion instrument list...
Piano takes 88 hours of practice a day
One hour for each key
I play Trombone for concert and jazz and marching euphonium for marching band. But i’m starting on TENORS for winter drum line with literally no percussion experience except for watching your videos and messing around on a practice pad.
I play Viola, Trumpet, Piano, Guitar, Recorder, Drum Kit, Vocals, and I wish I had a Synth, but I just do music production under the hood, so I guess it's okay. I tried to conduct my friends playing their instruments, but I just gave up cause it was too hard. I'm really good at following along with the conductor though.
A collab I never thought i'd see.
Notice how he said March like meeee and it show the masked guy matching the ultimate tenorrr
The viola side is to slowly eat popcorn and drool on the floor. It’s a very comfy floor
Guitar, Bass, Drum kit and Piano
Euphonium team is with the percussionist. We need our battery and pit friends for DCI.
All of us wind players are cackling at this 'feuding' in the background
Ukulele, Gutiar, Banjo, Harmonica, Fiddle, Flute, and piano
My practice times are all clashing
YOU FORGOT ABOUT THE RATCHET!!! LOLOLOL Oh and the trash crash, crash ride, pangs, swishes, mini china, ice bell......
I play xylo and glock, which also means I often have to play crotales, rocar, agogo bells, among other things, as well as a bunch of different cymbals
Holy Cow, yes! Percussion is definitely by far the hardest instrument. I play bass guitar, ukulele, drum set, piano, sax, and tuba. I've been in percussion for many years, and I've marched snare and bass, and I can easily say percussion has been the hardest.
@@heyytheree not anymore
Oh yessss!!! I love your RUclips channel! Bravo 👏👏👏
There is a bass on my wall. In front of it is a drum kit.
I like how piano gang guys go like 'let the battle continue. They'll probably all come to their senses soon.'.😂😂
Man didn't even mention piano in the percussion list, which is a whole demon of itself.
imagine being a percussionist and then only ever playing the snare drum
Btw, that bridge on the music video is in my hometown, Tartu, Estonia. It's called friendship bridge or Sõpruse sild in Estonian. I was like what, really, when I saw it.
Imagine the weeks long war Davie504 and TwoSetViolin roasted each other then this guys goes to roast both of them 😂
6:44 sounds mysteriously like the opening hit for Ghostlight by the blue devils
Thank you Eric Carr for taking stand against those roasting the triangle
I just so happen to play bass and kind of drumset so I know which side I’m on
Was that reveille on the Chicken!? Good God Marine that's some damn talent!! 😅
DAMN Marine! That is one hella of a LOT of work put into one video!! Huge Thumbs on this one!
...and I NEVER leave home without my Runja in my car! NEVER leave home without it!!
Super impressed that you included cuica twice!
Drumkit, bass, electric guitar, ukulele, trombone, keyboard, tenor bass steel Pan
YOU SPY!!! YOU CANNOT PLAY PERCUSSION, BASS, AND GUITAR. (ps. i'm a spy too. )
I play Viola(Team Bass), Trumpet(Neutral), Piano(Neutral), Guitar(Team Violin), Recorder(Team Bass), Tenor Drums(Team Bass), Drum Kit(Team Bass), Bass Guitar(Team Bass), and Voice(Neutral). The only Team Violin instrument I have is Guitar, so I identify with Team Bass more, but whotevs.
so *here comes anotha challenga*
The not included instruments in the song- the sofa, your wood floor at home
Silently sits in corner as a brass
"must practice 4 hours a day" ** shows a kit **
I tend to get in a ramble when talking about band.
everyone: guitarist, violinist, and any string or wood wind instrument
me: an intellectual a percussionist
