Nah mate, don't take it the wrong way, fretless playing is mad tough. Take it from someone who's learning to play the guitar as well as the violin here. If anything, that was a compliment really. The amount of muscle memory required to go fretless on a guitar is admirable and I know because I've been there 🔥✨

Except, while it was the same notes, it was basically an entirely different song, which was Davie’s point there. The Violin is more limited in the ways it can produce sound. That doesn’t make it inherently inferior, but it does mean it can’t replicate what a bass can do.

I find it hilarious that they're trying to convince an Italian musician that the violin, an Italian instrument, is better than the instrument the Italian plays.
I disliked the first one and almost disliked this one because they have a really bad habit of refusing to acknowledge any of Davie's arguments or talent. But they at least acknowledged a few, even though they still refuse to give his style of credit any sort of credit. It doesn't matter that it's all in good fun, they're just a little too actually insulting by refusing to recognize that bass players can have talent. I have no particular horse in the race, I'm subbed to both and I'm mainly a singer and pianist who has degrees in both classical and pop music. I am very much equally on both sides of the argument. I just think that Twoset had too many low blows insulting the skill and intelligence of the players themselves. It sat with me wrong, and is the only video of theirs that I've disliked. This one barely gets a pass, but I came pretty close and don't blame anyone for deciding to dislike this video. The previous one deserves way more dislikes than it got though

Except, while it was the same notes, it was basically an entirely different song, which was Davie’s point there. The Violin is more limited in the ways it can produce sound. That doesn’t make it inherently inferior, but it does mean it can’t replicate what a bass can do.

I find it hilarious that they're trying to convince an Italian musician that the violin, an Italian instrument, is better than the instrument the Italian plays.

I disliked the first one and almost disliked this one because they have a really bad habit of refusing to acknowledge any of Davie's arguments or talent. But they at least acknowledged a few, even though they still refuse to give his style of credit any sort of credit. It doesn't matter that it's all in good fun, they're just a little too actually insulting by refusing to recognize that bass players can have talent. I have no particular horse in the race, I'm subbed to both and I'm mainly a singer and pianist who has degrees in both classical and pop music. I am very much equally on both sides of the argument. I just think that Twoset had too many low blows insulting the skill and intelligence of the players themselves. It sat with me wrong, and is the only video of theirs that I've disliked. This one barely gets a pass, but I came pretty close and don't blame anyone for deciding to dislike this video. The previous one deserves way more dislikes than it got though
