I just love how Elias handles this. We can see some emotion on his face here being in this form. It's a unique expression full of depth. We've been learning how he does indeed have emotions, but it's been uncovering them slowly and even cultivating them into existence. Here, he has a great understanding for how this is impacting Chise even though he's still understanding emotions for himself. And, we can see clearly that he is troubled for her.

Honestly the first time I saw this I cannot describe the rage and disgust that I felt. It is a great anime tho. Also they really gotta put the little guy out of his misery in season 3. Its way better than living like that
well, actually...in the anime, the whelp was dissected alive and the show suggests that it died on the table when Joseph tried to use its limbs and organs as replacement parts since he was decaying. but in the manga, the whelp was still alive. it somehow survived being dissected and mutilated and is laying in a cage unconscious. the other dragon (this whelp) was forced to watch but couldnt understand what was happening. again, in the manga, the dragon would say things like, "he's dead. he cant go back to the earth. and they'll do the same to me. no more. I want to go home. i want to go home!"
Jawbreaker The Hyaenodon no it’s not actually. Their the same species but remember the one she played with already became an adult and picked her up when she went to the land of dragons the second time to make her wand.
