    I am completely knew to this idea and there are SOOO many options out there nowadays I don't know where to start. I want something that is beginner friendly, but also nice to my wallet, and durable. This was some great information to have. Thank you so much!

    I run in my Xero kit Huaraches in 4mm. The toe flips under if you drag your feet. Pick your knees up and you won't have a problem.
    I just put 100k on mine over the past month, and they will help your stride if you let them.

    I wore earthrunners for about 5 years and just switched to shamma with the vibram bottom. Love them for hiking and around town

    This is a very helpful video. I have the xero genesis. They're so thin I only wear them for light road running. Got the bedrock cairn and they're great for taking the kids to the park and not getting wood chips in them, but they're super thick! No running in those. Then I got the xero z-trail as the goldilocks sandals but not a fan. The search goes on...

    Thanks for the review Paul. I've been waiting for the Amuri Clouds to get back in stock, but tried on the Luna Venture the other day and really liked them. Based on your review and a few others I've watched I'm going to go ahead and order the Leadville Pacer. I appreciate the excellent overview of the strengths and weaknesses!

      Ian Connel - no problem, hope it helped! And in the time since this video, my new favorite actually became the Earth Runners Circadian (tho I still love my Shamma Warriors for the best ground feel), so those are worth checking out too!

    Wow. look at all those choices. I've got a pair of Xero Amuri Cloud sandals. Too floppy up front under the toes. Even walking around everyday.

    This might sound ridiculous, but I'm looking for a barefoot sandal recommendation that i can wear socks with for sun protection. Will socks cause me to slide around too much or is there a type of sock material I should look for?

    • @indy2867
      @indy2867 4 года назад +1

      Daniel Carbone any sandal with a z strap will let you wear your normal socks. You can also get tabi socks to wear with the string between the big toe style Huaraches.
      Stick to wool, or synthetic/wool blend. You don't want cotton.

      Try the Z-Trek from Xero Shoes. They are amazing. If you are new on barefoot sandals, try the Z-Trail from Xero Shoes too. They have a "thick" sole and are very light. But if you want more "feel" take the Z-Trek.

    What will be the best option for a barefoot beginners? Shamma or Luna. I will get it shipped to India and can't really try any sandals. They don't come cheap as well. Any help would be appreciated.

      Hey there! My current recommendation would actually be Earth Runners (Circadian model) over both of those. Shamma Warriors are great, but less for beginners, and Luna has changed their entire line and I'm no longer a fan of what they're making (and it's debatable to even call them "barefoot" style sandals anymore).

      I also recommend Earth Runners Circadian. Been using them all summer, hiking on trails and in and out of rivers. No issues. I would purchase Earth Runners again.

      @@KookaburraComedyHour thanks so much! India has nothing of that sort. I will have to import it

      Thanks for such a thorough review! I was wondering how the Luna and Earth Runners compared, so I’m glad I read the comments here. Out of curiosity, did you try the leather footbed on the Earth Runners? If so, did it have the same slippery issue as the one reviewed here? I have sensitive skin (ex. breaks out with the Fit Bit band) and was thinking the veggie tanned leather might be a lower risk for breaking out. Any thoughts on that?

    there's much bigger problem with 5 fingers- they get ruined quite quickly...the unglue and seprate sole from the rest...big mess...
