I would cry cutting stuff out of books, I suck at cutting tho. idk if what I’m saying will make sense but you’re kind of upcycling, like majority of people aren’t gunna read those books, so you’re creating something that’s beautiful out of it. it definitely is inspiring. I’m a huge book worm and while idk if I could do it, I love what you make with what you do. people just hate because they aren’t talented and would rather tear you down than support you.

If people are coming here to watch you create why are they worried about you cutting into books? What are those books doing collecting dust on the shelf anyway? I am a book lover and I love to see an old, unused book get repurposed. Anyway 🙄 I love all of the flower books you found, I’m hoping to get to my local thrift store when they open and see what they have. I found a couple of used book sites that I’ve been looking at to hopefully find some good art journal material. I occasionally look on marketplace as well but I haven’t had any luck yet. Thanks for the info 🤗🤗

Thanks for the tip on thrift shop books. As a book lover I too cringed at the thought of cutting up books. But, I rationalized that if it’s at a thrift store it’s already lived it’s life as a book and can now evolve into art.

Do you have a scanner, printer, or combo that you would recommend?
I think once you get into journaling you get more comfortable with cutting some books,I am a booklover and used to die when saw someone cutting then but now I have book just for journaling and I'm ok with cutting then
Also, how do you organize your supplies? Since starting this I have already collected so much stuff that I want to use in my journal but I feel like organizing it is overwhelming sometimes. I’ve tried several different methods but so far it’s not working as well as I’d like. Do you keep scrap paper? If so how do you store it?

I really love your Journaling stuff, its so relaxing to watch and so unique. 😍😍😍 you're the first one I've seen in Instagram, and from there You really gave me the motivation to do one my own (privately), especially you prefer to thrift stuff unlike others who buys everything which can be so costly.
Only my fiance sees my art journals.. but I will see if I will set up my own account, byt meh still far from it.. haha..
