Mark Rendeluk wins the Platinum General Services Pro Street against teammate Jason Dunigan.
The top ten Orient Express Racing Pro Street racers from the 2023 XDA motorcycle drag racing season were invited to compete at the 27th Haltech World Cup Finals presented by Wiseco at Maryland International Raceway on November 2-5, 2023.
🔥Three racers made their first-time appearances at World Cup Finals, and first-timer Mark Rendeluk came out on top in the Platinum General Services Pro Street class.

He won the finals of the last XDA race of the season against Haase who was his opponent in E1 in this race. The announcer is wrong.

I would hardly call Mark a "Rookie". Rendeluk has been riding dragbikes for yearsssss...decades really (some as fast, if not faster than Pro Street).
I know he went into the 6.20's, maybe even teens' with that Turbocharged ProMod/Pro Extreme bike he had.
Obviously its a totally different animal riding a "NO wheelie bar"/DOT approved tire Prostreet bike compared to a Slick-Tire/Wheelie Bar bike with a full regular lock up in it instead of the "Multi-Stage" lock up.
....still, Mark is NOOO Rookie

It was his first year and that's what defines a rookie. We know Mark's accolades in other classes, he's a very established racer. But in Pro Street he was a rookie this past year.
