    Quick tip, when you add the soy sauce, add it around the edge of the wok so it sears for a quick second before touching the food. Adds a bit more depth

    J-Kenji recommends that when you're using a walk to pour the soy sauce around the sides of the pan so he soy sauce cooks. Just food for thought any little hack to get the most flavor into meal prep.

    I’m a firm believer that vinegar brings a much needed touch of acidity to any fried rice. It keeps the whole thing from feeling too “dank”. Brightens it up a little.

    I have come to really appreciate your recipes/videos.
    You are the only channel that agrees with me on vegetables but you still put them in your recipes. You keep the recipes simple (most) and do meal prep.

    I really like the thrown together feel of this. I love your other videos and have tried at least half of all the recipes you have uploaded to youtube, and made the Japanese Curry and Firecracker Brussle sprouts (sometimes with pulled pork shoulder) over and over and over again. I am also a newly elected Snack City Mayor and will never give up ruling with an iron fist.

    The trick I use with my fried rices is that rather than salt I use powdered bouillon (specifically i use the soup-in-a-mug stuff - it adds a meatiness whether you are using beef or chicken and also has MSG included for flavor depth)

    I was surprised when I came to the UK and found out that people here think of spam as disgusting poor people food. Cus back home (China) we love spam😂 It is my go to for hot pot ramen noodle and fried rice

    Aint gonna lie I always though spam was like some digusting vegetable combo minced together and pressed together and processed to look like some kind of meat, most from the name, I really have no idea where I got that idea, but I thought it was something gross just based ont the name.
    After watching, and then looking at it, I'm gonna have to try some spam lmao.

    spam is so delicious. and if you use the turkey or the lite versions, it's really not the most terrible thing for you in terms of macros. i mean its not the best thing either, but we've all eaten worse.
    the micronutrients are a different story, but thats what veggies are for amirite

      It works best with leftover rice. Freshly cooked rice tends to need more oil to not stick and burn in the pan.
