Miyako played several guitars, a grand piano, an electronic keyboard and a keytar in this two-hour concert. And she gave birth to a healthy baby six months later. I have no choice but to admire her.
'Tinkerbell' flitting across the stage catching snowflakes. So beautiful. And Miyako? That was the true meaning of the old phrase. "tinkling the ivories" A beautiful performance all around by these women.
There are few true masterpieces in rock. “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles; “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin; “Layla” by Derek and the Dominoes; “Starless” by King Crimson; “Ghost Love Score”, by Nightwish. Maybe a dozen more, max. What they have in common is gorgeous writing, jedi-level musicianship, excellent production, and, what really separates them from merely great songs, they explore multiple musical ideas. They are often like “Bolero”, using those musical ideas to take us through multiple emotions until crashing ashore like a huge wave. Few rock groups ever produced a masterpiece. Lovebites, in five short years, gave us at least five; I put this and “Swan Song” at the top of the heap.
I’ve said no end of times that you can’t have a favourite Lovebites song but this particular reaction has made me publicly admit that “A Frozen Serenade” is my favourite song by them, has been for quite a while, and when I saw this video about 10 months ago upon release of the live set, I was left slack jawed when Asami performed the ballet inspired dance. It elevated the performance to a production. There is nobody else who would have even thought of that combination, and certainly nobody else who could even approach the level of musicianship you’ve just watched. And I say this every time, but this is a James Bond main song waiting for a Bond film to accompany it!
There is no editing, this is from their live concert! And yes , Miyako is that fast switching from piano to guitar, sometimes she plays guitar and keys at the same time!
After seeing your "Lovebites tournament", it is kind of funny you saying that this is the one you liked the least so far .... But you know, it was same for me... I did not think much after the first listen, but this one really grows on you and now it is one of the best, specially in LIVE version.
Although Asami typically comes up with the melody of a song before Mao provides an arrangement, for "A Frozen Serenade" the arrangement was solidified first. Since Electric Pentagram was coming out in winter, Asami wanted a sad winter ballad. Asami knew she wanted to include acoustic guitar on the track. despite stating that acoustic guitar is more difficult than electric, since the slightest mistake will be heard, Miyako said she was abele to record the acoustic guitar solo quickly.
I love this band and all the elements : Asami 's voice is sublime , Miho 's bass is immaculate , Miyako and Midori 's guitars are world class , but if I have to choose my favorite in this band my vote goes to the drummer Haruna: The Goddess of Thunder doesn't give a chance, the power, speed and stamina of that drummer are unbeatable and she's never misses a note, we can set the london atomic clock by the beats of haruna. hail Haruna , we salute you 🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺
That's fair 🙂🤘streamlabs doesn't play closed captions so I often check them out more in editing when I record another version of the song for the ending. Song seemed to have some powerful lyrics 👌🐺🤘
There is no one like Lovebites in metal period. They're slayer one song, Testament next, then Metallica, then Maiden, then Priest, then Dragonforce, and then they drop this on you! Just out of this world! Their ability to do something like this is why I love them more than any band, because no one can do this! Great react! 🐺🦊
@@corruptedfiles1989 you should check out Signs of Deliverance live next. If that doesn't convince you that Midori / Miyako are the best current duo out there, nothing will. It's all about when the lights go red. Lol. 😉
If your videos freezing means more classic memes, I'm all for it lol. If you can be bothered doing a purely audio track, you should do Dystopia Symphony (no live video available, and who knows when there will be). That song is stunning.

It is not editing. Remember this is a live show and you just can't do that on stage, and also they just don't do such a cheating. What you see is solid reality. Miyako even does this Rising ruclips.net/video/5LT-WhFGsPE/видео.html, and even does this insane magic Burden of Time ruclips.net/video/4OBf_Gn8efs/видео.html.
@@corruptedfiles1989 BTW, I very rarely hear pops on guitars. Although those are simple one note mistouches and easily erasable but they are left as they are. Lovebites doesn't cheat you.

Amazing that Haruna can play so slow.. oh well, she was her normal Haruna at the end! *-)
😂she does well. Even keeps playing after the video freezes. #talent

Impressive! Yeah I seen Miyako doing that in a a photo collage film clip.
😲👌🤘

Did you see Haruna's great chunk of muscle on her arm in the last cut of the frozen vedeo?? That tells you all.
Haruna is cool 👌🤘🐺
And she saved Lovebites.
This is about the nuclear winter, the fourth song about the II World War with the bombs on Hiroshima e Nagasaki and the Kamikaze!
Deep, heavy topic. Great song.

LOVEBITES - A Frozen Serenade lyrics:
Crystal tears Falling from the skies
Veiling fears The emptiness inside
Time is just passing by
Killing me under the soft twilight
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
One life ends
And one life begins
Evanesce
To our origins
When I'm lost on my way
Lead my heart and guide me with your grace
A frozen melody
Of doves and ravens dancing in melancholy
A distant memory
If only this snow could erase the pain
I'd wake up in a serenade
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
Seasons may pass, but its beauty will never fade away
All living things are precious and irreplaceable
Just like a dream, just like a bird
I'll keep on singing out
Even if my voice cannot reach you
White butterflies are fluttering under the silver sky
If only I could wish to see you once more
