This video could not have come at a better time! So hard to come by good projector reviews for artists. I so appreciate the time you take to make this 💕
Glad it was helpful!
I was looking for a good projector- great timing - Thanks for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
Very useful review! Thank you so much for sharing this!! 🙌🙌🙌
great review :)
Thanks!
Thank you for your review! Was really helpful! What is your experience regarding the size of the wall you can cover? How big can you go?
Glad it was helpful! I would say ~35ft tall x~35 wide is the largest I would go but it depends on the design and how much details you have in the art. some art is simple to outline whereas some may need a more powerful projector if there is a massive amount of details in the design
@@iamdetourhow far back were you and how far above the ground were you to get that maxed out size?
Besides working on walls at a large size, Would I also be able to mount this projector on an overhead camera rig and project from above onto a desk on canvases with sizes ranging from 12 x 16 to 24 x 36 ? My overhead rig is adjustable to the correct distances based on your video, just not sure if the resolution and focus are designed to work on those smaller sizes?
that works as well and because its closer, it much brighter.
Would this projector work for 8" x 10" canvases?
Great video. I have been using my old school artograph projector for over 30 years so far and feel that maybe it’s time to upgrade. Is there an option of increasing the size of the image or is it a matter of just moving it back. In your example measuring 10 feet back from the wall the image is only half the wall. What do you do if you want to cover the whole heights of the wall? 2 sections? Thanks again!
After the projector is at its max, its a matter of just moving back to fill the space you want. Short throw projectors are best if you are in close distances.
@@iamdetour ok thanks. Do you know of any good short throw projectors?
Does it have that annoying screen door grid?
What's good for projecting art on an inside wall or onto a drafting table😮❤ cheap too? 1080 good?
Depends. I would say AAXA P400 is a good option because it "short throw "meaning you can make a bigger image in a short distance from an interior wall or your draft board. The Miroir - L710S Smart 1080p Wireless Projector is reasonable but less features. you want to make sure the projector you get can ease you workflow as well so features and brightness matter a lot as well. A tool like a projector is an investment on making your job easier so that you can focus just on the art.
Could you please help me? I need a projector that can project an image outdoors, with a height of 4 meters and a width of 10 meters. What do you recommend? What kind of projector do I need?
Would you consider this one youre reviewing a "short throw" ?
This would be just considered just above the limits of short throw. I believe with short, throw a ration of (1 : 1) or lower. This is (1.2 : 1). There would be other options if short throw is an important factor for you.
thanks brotha ... yea could you link me to other short throw options?@@iamdetour

What if I don't have a projector but I need to upscale?
Here is a video I made of my go-to method of scaling up my artwork from murals and art. It's called the doodle grid. ruclips.net/video/Kb06srCqPcg/видео.html
