Came to see the play for Tom, left admiring Charlie. They were all absolutely wonderful but for some reason Charlie's performance really surprised me in the best way possible.

Honestly I feel she had someone watching the interview from home, call her and tell her where to stand (I'm assuming the windows are privacy windows, where you can see out from within the building, but those outside cannot see in) everytime the camera is on Charlie Cox she gets a little nervous and shuffles on her feet and touches her phone. I think that whoever is on the phone is telling her everytime she is on camera.
I saw the play in NYC twice in early Oct and will see twice again in a couple of weeks and it is truly an amazing work! Got the chance to meet the actors during stage door appearances after the play and they are so genuinely kind and entertaining! This version of Betrayal is exceptionally well done and draws you in completely! The scenes where Tom cries had me sobbing with his emotional portrayal! I fell in love with him as Loki and have only grown to admire him even more through this performance and his other roles as well! I can't wait to get back to NYC to see Betrayal again! :D
Maybe because it is a play, not a blockbuster movie. Those are rarely very deep. Besides, to do hundreds of theatre shows is so different from a few takes in film, very demanding
Saw this play last weekend. The best and hardest thing to articulate in these interviews, despite being mentioned, is how clever, fresh, powerful and unique the Production \ Set is. Very minimal but serves the content so well.
Also, Zawe is going to star in the upcoming "Captain Marvel" sequel. (Sidebar: It seems as if all of the actors/actresses whom Tom has worked within past productions end up starring in MARVEL Cinematic Universe productions later on.) 🤗

It's just that people too frequently point it out without giving actual practical advice on the "how to".
