I personally always hated 5’s but gotta say A Ma Maniere done this Jordan model justice, I’m loving both these and the Dusk colorway. But these are sneaker of the year for me, beautiful shoe, I love how they made the tongue smaller considering that the tongues on Jordan 5’s are normally oversized which is one of the reasons I never cared for 5’s. Great job with this collab!
people dont know that the inspiration to slim down the ankle area is based on 90’s japanese anime slamdunk that character named Rukawa wear jordan 5 white black with the slimed version of the 5 almost like the 2 but its actually 5
Wore mines today for 8 hours and didn’t feel the stitching on the insoles whatsoever. Nor did it bother me, they were pretty comfortable. So for me it’s a solid 10 out of 10
The quality on these is insane. Feels like you’re wearing a designer shoe. I absolutely love them and agree with Foamer, but I get most people don’t like 5’s. You can’t feel the embroidered insole either, it’s a non-issue.
The Grapes were my all time grail BUT THESE are thE most beautiful sneaker I have ever seen, hands down! Doubled up, 1 to rock and 1 to be buried in. 🔥 vid btw.
The hype is with the dusk pair but I much prefer the dawn. It’s more of a complete collaboration imo. You can actually see the 23 , white nubuck(which is rarely used on any JB sneaker) and the colorway in general is different from any AMM black burgundy based sneaker!
I agree on the 23, shouod have been a different color....they should have made that and the nike air on the ass end both white, or like a maroon with a little white outlining like a shadow, like they have on the 23 on the dawns 💯
I love this pair. To keep it simple, it makes wearing aged AJ5’s look good. For me, I like having something where you have to notice the little things that make it stand out. But I’m biased. I love 5’s.

Great review Foamer & Buckets and Happy Thanksgiving to you both & everyone else. Both AMM x AJ5s are well executed imo ; especially this Dawn colorway. A very well done collaboration - the more streamlined silhouette (compared to most GR AJ5s) all the details , tweaks and branding. Can't speak to the quality yet but consensus seems to be that is quite good. Its a very well done collab overall ; really what you want to see from a Jordan collab imo. Only thing that holds me back a bit is the degree of aged / yellowing effect ; especially being a bit sick of the aged aesthetic that i never really was a fan of to begin with. But regardless the AMM x AJ5s seem extremely well done overall. Not SotY for me but certainly up there as one of the best Jordan collabs of 2023.
@@tayso5276 thats becoming a real problem with AMM it seems. My AMM 4s were awful with QC as were my AMM 12s ; my white and red / burgundy 12s had color bleeding all over the place. Not sure what's going on but thats not acceptable on premium collabs charging premium prices.

Bucket’s 1000% right about the embroidery on the insoles, especially since you still cannot feel the air midsoles of the 5’s. They should’ve either painted the Nike “swoosh” Air on the insoles or a stitched patch like on the insoles of the 3’s Elephants.

My first pair of 5s and man I'm excited to get these in. Never really dug the 'puffy' ankle collar and these do it better. Could never justify spending the $800 on the off-whites and I think these are almost as good + I hit for retail. Great review as always boys
It’s crazy how you absolutely canNOT see that these aren’t WHITE shoes until they’re in your hand. They straight up are not. It’s a super subtle grey, and while the after market is making folks think these are no bueno, it’s just nonsense. The slimmed down ankle, the extra deep Nike Air heel embroidery. They’re f i r e . Foamington for the W once again. Can’t believe how much I’ve grown to appreciate your content over the last few years dude… especially when I go back and revisit videos that are like a year old haha. Got my Dawns the other day, I can’t stop staring at them. I think they are some of the best looking shoes out right now, I’m also not a fan of sneakers being too flashy. I can wear these in smart casual outfits or shorts and a tee.
I love em. 9.5 out of 10. They remind me of Laney 5s. I got some light yellow laces that will match pefect if im able to get em. They would be a perfect 10 if they had the plastic lace eyes in a translucent diffused blue color. I like contrast details. The black version is washed out. If the 23 and nike air were sail/burgandy sewn then Id like those.
Yo!! Jordan 5 are my first pair of J’s . I have the original 5 metallic and fire red.. and they are used up like grandma’s slippers. There are straight super dope.. mine are on there way along with the Dusk pair.. I give them a big 10! I do wish the ankle bubble was a little more bubbly.. lol dope anyways..
I think these are a super clean and beautifully executed shoe. I'm not sure what it is, but I feel like these aren't very wearable due to the materials they used. I think if these had used a leather like on DJ Khaled 5s they would be a 10/10 for me. I think these are just going to look bad after a few wears. PLEASE DO A LIFE TEST ON THESE!!!

I was able to get both pairs through the A Ma Maniere raffles and I heard they're a little more spacious than normal so as long as they fit nicely, they will be getting a ton of wear
Wow foamer really loves the 5s, he also gave the burgundy 5s a perfect score which i prefer more over these. So far in asia only this pair is releasing but i really want the black pair more(black pair reminds me of a used og black metallic 5) so will pass on these white/grey pair and wait for the black pair since i already have the fire reds from 2020.

I personally have never worn a Jordan 5 EVER but these are so nice! I copped 2 pairs for retail. These remind me of the Off White Jordan 5's (which I own but have never worn) with the slimmer shape which I personally like compared to the regular bulky collars of the Jordan 5's. The pre-aged sole/netting is also something that drew me into it bc they're essentially "future proof". Regular 5's don't age well, drastic difference between a fresh and worn pair of 5's. I understand Bucket's perspective, from a far it does look like a GR colorway. However, you can also say that about the AMaManiere 3's which Buckets listed 1st (unsure if that's his #1 AMM collab). The whole line has been "elevated simplicity" and DETAILS so these 5's, "Dawn" or "Dusk" fits right in. A solid 9.5/10 for me.
