I purchased the Tuumiist two months ago. I simply could not fit the Nama J2 in my budget. After some serious prayer, in my opinion God opened an opportunity where I was able to make the purchase! With that being said, for those who may not think it’s possible! I am a broke law student! lol so trust me, if it can happen for me! I am sure it will happen for you!

    Hi John. Why do you use the J2 more than any other juicer? If I puchase a J2 tomorrow, would I be able to purchase the J3 hopper separately? If so, what is the additional cost of the J3 hopper? Do I save more money by waiting a few weeks to purchase the Nama? Do I get more value by waiting a few weeks to purchase a Nama?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад

      Why the Nama J2 Is my favorite in a sentence: it is well designed, works well, without hassle, and saves me time. For a full breakdown on my 10 reasons why I use it most watch ruclips.net/video/9a9ZgbddIOE/видео.html . YES, the 3L hopper can be purchased when it is released. It will ONLY be available as an optional add-on. It is a 3L hopper, it is ESTIMATED to cost an additional $95. if you want to use it. I used it for the first time yesterday, and while I liked how HUGE it was, I was saddened that Nama did not seem to do the "engineering" they did on the 2L hopper so when I was processing leafy greens, the 2L hopper worked better. For people doing big fruit chunks or heavier items where gravity helps it work, the 3L hopper will work fine. I do not believe you will save any money buy waiting to buy the J2 + 3L hopper at the same time. In both instances my 10% off coupon code ORIGINAL10 will work to save 10% on the items no matter when you purchase.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +1

      For the pulp, In many cases, I re-juice it to get it even dryer. After that, I personally dont see much value in the fiber of the vegetables I juice as most of the nutrition was taken out. I would rather rely on other WHOLE vegetables I eat in salads, soups, etc to get my fiber from vegetables. I also believe that fiber from OTHER foods are also critical from beans, grains and legumes. That being said, some people make dehydrated or baked crackers with the fiber, or add it to soups or baked goods to add it into something. I personally compost all the veggie pulp to feed worms and create soil for my vegetable garden.

    Can the nama j2 be used commercially in a juice bar?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +2

      The Nama J2 is a juicer made for Home Use. That being said, there are some customers that use the Nama J2 in their commercial juice bar. There are three problems with this: 1. Your local health department may not allow you to use the Nama J2 since it does not have Commercial Sanitation approval (NSF) and 2. Commercial use of the Nama J2 may void the warranty. So it really depends if you are willing to take a chance. 3. The Nama J2 is designed to run continuous for 30 minutes, and I use it regularly up to 60 minutes at a time. If you use it longer, it can overheat and cause premature juicer failure. Some juice bars get around this by having 2-3 nama j2's and switch off every 30 minutes to use a different one, while the other one cools down.

    I love the channel, John, but this one came across as really biased. Is the Nama a higher-quality machine? I don't think anyone would argue otherwise. The Tuumiist is visibly smaller and flimsier, and it took longer to make the juice while raising concerns about the longevity of the motor. BUT -- and this is crucial -- in terms of yield, it made almost exactly the same amount of juice for less than 1/3 of the cost of the J2 -- just slightly over 25% ($139 vs $550), to be exact. In this economy, that's nothing to sneeze at. You could buy almost four Tuumiist machines for the list price of the Nama.
    Even at the $55 discounted price, there's no way I could afford to buy a J2, so it's kind of painful watching you juice with it and hype it up so much in all your videos, even promoting a financing (?!?) option at the end of this one, and I gladly welcome budget alternatives that can take a crack at the obvious vulnerability of the overpriced Nama. I really don't mind having to do some minor chopping of the produce before putting in a slightly smaller hopper if I save 75% on the price, and I think you should consider that more when making these videos. It really felt like you didn't give this one a fair chance, even saying the juice was more watery or something from the Tuumiist. That really felt like a stretch just to say something bad about it.
    There's another hopper-style juicer for $300 on Amazon ("AMZCHEF 5.3-Inch Self-Feeding Masticating Juicer Fit Whole Fruits & Vegetables"), and it has better reviews than the Tuumiist. I would love to see more unbiased reviews and comparisons of these as I think they're increasingly going to be the new standard of juicer (next evolution of the vertical auger style -- put a basket on top -- why did no one think of this sooner?), but most people, including me, simply are not going to spend $500 to $800 to buy one.
    Meanwhile, I'll be over here, still daily drinking from my ~$200 Omega 8004 that's held up for over a decade.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  3 месяца назад +3

      While I appreciate your comments, and do agree that the TUUMIIST did make a solid YIELD (which I was impressed about). The goal of this episode was to let people know: they get what they pay for. YIELD is just ONE FACTOR that should be taken into consideration when purchasing a juicer. MONEY is another factor that should be considered. If someone only values YIELD and MONEY, clearly the TUUMIST WINS on that front in this video, so in a way this video PROMOTES TUUMIIST as a solid performer. That being said, there are many other considerations when it comes to buying a juicer that I believe people should consider. TIME to juice - clearly the nama J2 juiced the same amount 2x faster. IT also took less work to juice the same amount of produce since I didn't have to keep feeding in produce. CUSTOMER SERVICE - clearly Nama wins this with 24 hour customer service, with agents in 3 countries around the world, WARRANTY - clearly NAMA wins with a 15 year warranty, vs "claimed 10 year warranty". QUALITY of Juice, I believe the nama does a bit better in extracting more nutrients out of the juice, as evidenced by my taste test. I strive to call it as I see it when I taste juices, and produce variability may play a part, however all these apples and carrots are from "the same batch" so I strive to make tests as fair as possible. DURABILITY- clearly the nama uses trusted plastics that have been used to make the worlds top juicers for many years, the TUUMIST uses "random" softer plastics. MOTOR - the Nama Motor is significantly more heavy and durable. RUN TIME - clearly the Nama takes this at 30 minutes "recommended" but I use it for up to 1 hour at a time. The Tuumiist maxes out at 10 minutes, and may overheat. LONG LASTING - I guarantee the Nama J2 will out last the Tuumiist. Nama provides parts and service to repair machines should they encounter problems, I can say that the Tuumiist machine is disposable, no parts will be available to fix it should it break. As you can see while TUUMIIST has some benefits, the draw backs are significant, and that is what this video shows. To me a juicer is a lot more than yield, and a lot more than a "one time investment" to get something cheap that works. However, I understand many people may not be in the position to spend $495 (after coupon) on a juicer to get the RIGHT machine that will LAST. if you divide out the # of years the machine is guaranteed to run 15 by the price $495/15= it is $33 meaning you are investing $495 now that is basically $33 a year for a WORKING juicer. Where as if the TUUMIIST lasts you even 2 years and you have to buy another, it costs a lot more. The AMZCHEF juicer is like the other "knockoff" - AMMNU I tested in my videos, I was impressed with that model for its motor quality, seemed ALOT better than the TUUMIIST motor, although the yield on that machine was less. See ruclips.net/video/9ypj8NZRVC8/видео.html for my full comparison
      In summary: you get what you pay for. In the case of people that cant afford the Nama, this video shows an alternative they can afford, but they can also be fully aware of the drawbacks and decide for themselves if the drawbacks are worth it.

      In the USA we have laws regarding the warranty of products for consumer use.
      The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act establishes three basic requirements that must be met by the manufacturer, seller, or warrantor of a consumer product.
      Written warranties must be titled either “full” or “limited.”
      Warranties must outline the coverage they provide using language that is easy to understand.
      Warranties must be available for consumers wherever the product they cover is sold.
      TUUMIIST does not comply with ANY of these three BASIC REQUIREMENTS. Would you please let me know if I am fair to Judge this company when they don't even comply with US law when they are selling their product on US SOIL? In the listing or the machine itself, the ONLY mention of warranty is :10 Year Warranty. Those words alone do not meet this requirement.
