- Interesting watercolour textures are one of my most favourite things about painting in this playful medium. Watch me create different effects in this video by using a mix of granulating and non-granulating colours. If you decide to follow along, you don't need to use the same colours as I do here - I encourage you to play with the granulating colours you have and see what effects they create when you use these techniques.

Thank you for watching and for your lovely comment 😊✨
The amazing textures created an other- worldly effect to this lovely painting. The texture on the left looks just like a mossy ground cover. It is very unique and says a lot.
Thank you for watching! These textures were such incredible fun - I think creating textures is my favourite part of the watercolour painting process. They add so much to the scene.
Love this. It’s ethereal ❤

I am so glad you gave Burnt Tiger’s Eye a chance to shine. That is one of my favourite granulating colours. Beautiful textures Anastasia. ❤
Thank you Julie! It is such a beautiful colour but I keep forgetting about it for some reason… Making an effort to use more of it for it, especially in mixes ✨
Wow, this is absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
Another fabulous piece. I was wondering if you teach classes?
Thank you so much! I don’t teach classes currently, sorry! RUclips would be the best place to learn from me at the moment.
I am fairly new to the different water color paints…I use a lot of these watercolors in regular watercolor. I’m not sure what the granulation or the radiant means. Could you explain that just a bit?
Some watercolours have granulating effects - they have these little particles of pigment that do not dissolve in water but settle on paper instead, creating texture. I find that this article explains it well, hope it helps: www.jacksonsart.com/blog/2019/10/31/watercolour-granulation/
I always love watching your scenes as they develop. You inspire me to take chances.
Thank you for watching 😊 And I am so happy to hear my videos make you feel a bit braver with your watercolours - have fun!!!
