To be fair to her, the issue truly was that she had been fed a very specific agenda by those that, before now, she had had no reason not to trust, being that they were like her second family. The problem for those same people is that Afife, rather like Daye before her, has a conscience that requires things fair and honorable, and, the longer she's around Hürrem, the less the agenda pushed on her about the woman adds up.

Firuze just being there and became favourite only because the royals wants her to defeat Hurrem, meanwhile Hurrem being there after all the struggles and fights just to survives in the palace. I would say Hurrem is stronger than the royal princesses and and other favourites there.
More like she saw the absolute loyalty hurrem had to sulieman. When he was sick everyone would plan for his death, mahidevran even wished for it. But hurrem made it clear until sulieman stopped breathing even her own children would have to walk over her body to take the throne

I just still maintain that it would have made so much more sense to have her placed in the show before Hürrem's marriage. The Isabella storyline was the worst and one of the least logical. They NEVER would have brought a princess to the harem let alone let sulieman sleep with her. Hasfa being okay with it was wild to me
