YMCA but its under strict supervision to force u to have fun or else u will get gunned down and shot at, while everyone else is forced to dance and u can never leave the place they will force u to dance until u drop dead
Oh my god this could be a movie with this as the main/best song. A political/social commentary or whatever it's called. It takes place in a dystopia where people are barely able to make ends meet, so young men (or even boys) are encouraged (or rather forced by circumstance) to sign themselves off to a labor camp for a period of time, with the money being sent back to their family. There's propaganda and ads everywhere, and nobody really knows what goes on in there, those that make it back don't ever speak about it. Some never come back. One boy, age 14, is sent there by his mother because she feels they have no other option to avoid homelessness. She tells him he will be housed and fed and put to work and promises come get him when he's earned enough for them to get back on their feet. After all, he's the man of the house (his father died years ago) so it's one of his duties. So, helpless to protest and wanting to make his mother (and deceased father) proud, he lets her sign the paperwork as his legal guardian and he's put to work. But as soon as the gates close behind him, he already begins having his doubts. It turns out to be closer to a prison camp if anything, and the conditions are disconcerting to say the least. The food is devoid of flavor, just serving to meet their barest needs. And the labor is grueling and inhumane. There's something going on. He knows it. Just what are they working for?

Most other songs in minor key tend to sound sad, perhaps mournful, but this sounds gleefully aggressive instead. It's _beaming with joy_ while it's threatening you, and that's why this is so great.

庄司 慎吾 - Shōji Shingo Yes, But you can’t go to the YMCA, The village people will force you to dance till you’re dead and your head rolls. Therefore, There’s no place you can go.
This song sounds as if the protagonist unintentionally hurt his friends somehow and now the entire town hates him for whatever reason and the villains are trying to get him on their side because "they aren't that different, him and they" and they're the only ones who are willing to let him stay
You have to fight village people, there are Six bosses, the cowboy, the construction worker, the cop, the Indian, the navy officer, and finally, the biker wearing all leather
I work at a YMCA. We use this all the time and play it quietly in the background but loud enough that it makes subliminal messages in your head. The messages also encourage you to upgrade your membership, but don’t let my boss know I told you!
I'm imagining this as a Disney villain's theme. Meanwhile, the villain is looming behind the circle of thrusting men with glittering crotches, his eyes shining out from under his leather peaked-cap as he charges up his Gayser-Beam.
Everyone: "This sounds villainous!" Me: "It sounds like he's desperately trying to reach out, with the last ounce of might left, to bring the message to just one more person. One more young man who won't overdose tonight, because he got clean at the YMCA. One more young man who won't go hungry tonight, because he got a good meal there. They can find peace, advice, and help. They only need to know it's theirs to take." ... Okay, maybe I'm a little dramatic.

POV: You are lured into the villains headquarters and they have you surrounded but the head villain forcefully tries to get you to join their side. You refuse and you start running but they have the entire place on lockdown. you desperately try to escape.
There's something almost tragic about how this goes. This is like seeing the unstoppable end the world unfold and being unable to stop it because it's the way it's supposed to be, tragic and beautiful, in the most bittersweet way.
imagine that happening in the wickerman to Nicolas cage but also that's a terrifying concept- reminds me of black friday the starkid musical edit: or the guy who didnt like musicals the musical
I can really see a poorly-performing wacky dark comedy with heavy stylization about a post-apocalypse having a villain who is in charge of an encampment in an abandoned YMCA sing this, forcing henchmen and captives to join in, in a scene that caused many to scratch heads. "I assure you Mr. Garmach, this is not a prison, it is an escape. In fact..." the man rose from his knee and snapped, before helping Luke to his feet. Music began to play over the speakers that had previously been barking orders. Two squads of heavily armed men walked out from either side of the room, and struck unusual poses. "We've got protocol for this. ONE, TWO, THREE, AANND" *song and dance number ensues*
YOUNG MAN THERES NO PLACE YOU CAN HIDE I SAID YOUNG MAN YOU MIGHT THINK YOU CAN TRY BUT THERES NO ESCAPING OUR GANG YOUR GONNA DIE AT THE YMCA YOURE GONNA DIE AT THE YMCA YOU CAN TRY TO BE FREE BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE ITS TIME TO GET ON YOUR KNEES AND PLEAD

There's something almost tragic about how this goes. This is like seeing the unstoppable end the world unfold and being unable to stop it because it's the way it's supposed to be, tragic and beautiful, in the most bittersweet way.
Bro just successfully managed to analyse YMCA in minor
this song sounds like the banger that would play when a villian starts executing his evil plan
Getting major Dr. Doofenshmirtz vibes
Keep it at 666 likes 😣😣
Lapis Philosophorum? No... YMCA but it’s having a stroke
I can picture this hypothetical villian wearing a pride flag as a cape, dunno why...
The lead singer sounds like he’s crying.
It's because if his dance ends, he will die. And he knows that.
He's desperately pleading with Young Man
Young man, there’s no place you can go.
I said young man, there's no more saying 'No!'
*Young Man, you’ll always be too slow*
You can hang out with all the boys
is this a threat
Jake Goff Yes
Difficulty mode peaceful:
You can’t rest now, there’s monsters nearby
POV: You’re desperately trying to run out of town as everyone dances in sync towards you while singing this song
So basically the plot of TGWDLM
imagine that happening in the wickerman to Nicolas cage
but also that's a terrifying concept- reminds me of black friday the starkid musical
edit: or the guy who didnt like musicals the musical
Grinch
@@robertcrawshaw9978 my worst fear because i'm a boy
@@yoshi_auditore431 Good to see a fellow Starkid in the wild!
Major: It's fun to stay at the YMCA
Minor: You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave
Check in*
Ah yes. A wholesome Hotel California reference.
@@skunkfac3 nononono, it's a hotel california reference
I snorted 🤣🤣
It's fun to die at the YMCA.
they should make a fear propaganda song like that except it's to stop you, you specifically, from posting
This song sounds a little threatening! O_O
me
pedophiles at the YMCA
Roomba Boi like my soul
“There’s no place you can go” takes a whole new meaning
this sounds like those songs they'd play in a horror movie trailer where it slowly gets distorted
Yes
Banana Splits Movie vibes
This is the next Jordan Peele flick
omg a horror movie where they trapped inside a YMCA and the murderer plays this over the intercom
Change The Playback speed to .5
Oh yeah, my favourite band... *Villain People.*

This is terrifying. I feel like i won't be able to leave the YMCA. The windows are shut. The doors are locked. No one gets out alive.
Relax, said the nightman, we are programmed to receive. You can check out anytime you want, but you can never leave.
Yonkage I had to look at the replies to make sure someone made this joke
If ymca were hotel california
or Sanitarium from Metallica...
*RAAAAAPPPEEEE*
YOUNG MAN, THERE'S NO PLACE YOU CAN HIDE, I SAID YOUNG MAN, THERE'S NO PLACE YOU CAN RUN
YOUNG MAN
THERES NO PLACE YOU CAN HIDE
I SAID YOUNG MAN
YOU MIGHT THINK YOU CAN TRY BUT THERES NO
ESCAPING
OUR GANG
YOUR GONNA DIE AT THE YMCA
YOURE GONNA DIE AT THE
YMCA
YOU CAN TRY TO BE FREE
BUT YOU WILL NEVER BE
ITS TIME TO GET ON YOUR KNEES AND PLEAD
"You can have a good meal."
Here at the YMCA
YOU are the meal.
You can *be* a good meal
vore
Especially when you dropped the soap!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 ur parappa pfp made this comment 999x funnier
😳
It's either the YMCA or the gulag for you, young man.
They are the same picture
ymca is the gulag
It constantly flips between workout montage and Disney villain, and I love it
It's apparently extremely urgent you stay at the YMCA.
TheDarkPhoenix23 nah, just fun
