- I've been asked what thermostat people should use with their Deep Heat Projectors if they can't get their hands on the Habistat Dimming Stat, so here are my recommendations for North American and European reptile keepers.

I got a 25$ dimming thermostat off amazon, and its worked great for the last few months for my leo. Only thing is, the probe is super clunky and plastic. But it works great and is accurate!
I’m have the dhp and I’m using the exo terra dimming thermostat and it works pretty well and it also has a day and night feature so you can have two temperatures set I wish I could get a have a habistat in the us
Am in two minds to go for deep heat projector i just dont feel confident enough not to kill my gecko with it .
As for exo terra stats i really dislike them they just do not work all that well one blow up my heating equipment and the replacement i got sent wasnt much better .

The exo terra stat does not always work properly with the arcadia dhp.
I reccomend using the exo-terra with a halogen. As long you have the 600w one with the day/night function you won't have to worry about the light sensor on the previous model.
@@angelinevelderrain6081would you recommend against it for a dhp? I was going to get the 600W exo terra thermostat with 2 probes for my halogen (daytime) and dhp (day/night)
Is a deep heat projector suitable for a gargoyle gecko?
The habistat one only goes up to 32 degrees celsius. If I hang the probe 2-4 inches under the light, it won´t get hot enough in my ball python´s hide. How do you use it?
what about the zoo med thermostat
My son is setting up his 50 gallon habitat in hopes of getting a Leo for his birthday 😁. Can you use a 300W Exo Terra dimmable thermostat instead of the 600W with the Arcadia 50 DHP?

Literally the most expensive ones lol nicrew makes a nice one for a good price just saying
I spent $60 on my Exo-Terra 600W Dimming Stat, worth every penny. Especially if you care about the safety of your gecko! You don't want to fry them/burst a bulb and injury them!
