Hey, although I am in developer options, I cannot find terminal! I nstalled termux (terminal emulator) but the option "terminal" won't appear, plus it does nothing when I enter "reboot update"
the boxes are usually sold empty or with limited programs. Boxes that usually come with extras are not to be trusted. so its a choice you must make. I wouldnt pay that because you can get an itv subscition for under 20 dollars lately :)

I think I bought from thesame guy but the apps wont work properly anymore after almost a year of using it. Now they want me to pay an extra $50 to update manually 😤. Hi Tony. I messed up and ordered the Meccool M8S Pro L without voice control and with the regular Android tablet OS by mistake. I can't return it. I also have the voice controlled model. I compared the two. Both are the LB version. The hardware seems to be identical. I compared them in the Aida64 app and the hardware appears to be identical. Unfortunately, that app doesn't show the wifi or bluetooth chips, but if they don't work, I really don't care. Would it be possible to flash a TV OS firmware to the non-voice model? I have also asked over at Freaktab. Thanks

hi brother.in the original thread you find information about the Rom yes and the driver needed. the firmware on my device is one of the custom firmware from the roms. if something goes wrong just reflash :)
+DA Henrys yes you can. As long as you have a connection from pc to box its all good. But i think i understand what you mean. You don't have it connected to a tv as well so no terminal. You can use the burncard method too. Maybe i should make a tutorial on that. Its in the original thread:)
Hi brother. Why is your box not working? And yes after flashing this you can always go back to original ROM either through a backup or simply downloading the original ROM :)

There are different versions. You can install a magendanz version that indeed has the standard Android UI I'm gonna give mecool another month to fix the Netflix hd if not I recommend indeed stock Android. I like your profile picture reminds me of don Peguero from el chapulín colorado:)

Netflix has done this shit again to us all! both my M8S pro L boxes will not load movies or tv shows. It will go into the menu and you can watch only the trailers, but that's it. I Tried to use that old Fix update I kept and it didn't work made things worse cant even get into the menu at all now another error. Tried to factory reset the box and still same thing, cant go into the Netflix menu at all now even after factory reset. I just cancelled my Netflix subscription! I'm going to go back to downloading torrents!
Hi brother. I do not own this box. But all amlogic flash are the same. Basically you find a way to put it into recovery mode then hook it up to the pc. With the usb burn tool you flash your Rom. Your pc should see it :)
This nexus rom is not working prperly in my device. I want to install the default rom. Please tell how to do this.

It is supposed to reboot but then stop at the boot logo. Do you have it connected te the pc when you do so? Does your pc give a Chime sound ?

That's odd. You have the original ROM installed? If so what version? Also does it have root?

Can I use 3.0 usb cord? Nothing happens when I turn my box on. Only blue light comes on. So.... I am unable to get to terminal. Any suggestions?

Usually you would install twrp and via recovery you make a backup. Or maybe try installing titanium backup and make a full backup with that :)
