Densely cities in China makes that train will reach a station each 30 mins and they just stop for 5 mins in each station so it's more efficient than airplane in a short trip. It also cost a fortune to build airport that has handling capacity like that and they have to cover 70% of all the cities. Also it is much cheaper. The price won't change like airplane. And it costs just 25 USD for 200 miles. I took an airline from Dallas to Austin last year. It says the trip will be like half an hour, but with taking off and landing, getting my luggage. It costs more than 1 hour. If Chinese people want to travel for like over 400 miles, we can still take airlines, but 100miles? Not a good idea.

You can never really compare motorcades unless it is the exact circumstances for both presidents. If they are in a country that is more friendly with one president over the other than it is obvious the friendly president is going to have less need of mass amounts of vehicles and soldiers if those presidents are in hostile territory or unfriendly territory than this maybe could be a good comparison but it is very rare that you are going to see presidents driving through towns that are unsafe to them and even more rare that one or the other presidents isn't favored in this part of the country or world my point is every territory needs different types of security. If you're out in open country is way different than Urban City if you were in friendly safe countries is different than entries that have allegiances to your enemies.
