I also have a weakness for classic architecture, brick streets, old style streetlamps and FALL in New England is magical! Would love to experience CHRISTMAS🙏there! For me, Christmas is not about presents, but PRESENCE :) We share an aspiration. 🙏
Thanks so much for the walk around- very historic town, lots of great architecture. Too bad the tourist season there is so short, hopefully you can go back at some point.
Have visited beautiful historic Portsmouth but will be back! And just found out via a currrent genealogist that I'm a direct descendant , the 11th great granddaughter of William Drew from Sharpham, Devonshire England on my maternal side who landed in Maine in 1648 and settled in Portsmouth and Dover around the same time. Older brother's name is William Drew and my great grandfather's name was William Drew as well. Didn't know I had such deep roots in Maine and NH. Loved Strawberry Banke, very interesting! Thank you~♥♥♥
I love the historical homes and scenery, plus, I LOVE Fall (Winter is to be endured, ugh), but those other 3 seasons, along with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas would make it worth it!
i lived on mcdonough st in Portsmouth from 1991-2003, i lived in rye; manchester; nashua; antrim; keene; sandown; hudson; lee; doverr; durham; concord; and laconia lol
Very nice Chris!

Thank you!
You have an interesting accent, particularly with how you stress or de-stress certain /o/ sounds.
Check out the 1st Period Homes section of Ipswich, MA.
Moffatt-Ladd House was on the Underground Railroad. Great shots of my hometown. The dormers aren't "mismatched", that design element was chosen.
same dormers styles as on white house over the windows.
Also went and looked up about Fitz John Porter, and his court martial- that might be why you have not heard much him- interesting story about that!!
Oh wow. Will have to look into that. Thanks!
@@VATravels Looks like there have been several books on the topic, so you might want to check ‘‘em out.
