This cannon of Ferrari work is epic…many thanks Damian for your joy and hard work pulling this and all the ‘Drive Every Ferrari’ episodes together. Magnificent!
That’s incredible and have no doubt as to the effort, hard work and research involved. I am sure I speak on behalf of everyone in our gratitude not just for the DEF series but for all your insightful and playful content.
So beautiful 👌🏻 growing up, my neighbor had one of these but a red 575M and also manual. I got to ride in it as a young teenager and I was mighty impressed.
I actively looked for one of these for 5 years and drove a lot of badly maintained and neglected cars (there was a time when you couldn't give these away). Not a single one of the F1 boxed 575's drove the same. I finally found a well sorted one and it was a joy to drive. My offer of £90K was knocked back and I decided to give up and bought an FF instead which I adore. But I still hanker after a 575, but it would need to be manual. Now a manual conversion is a real thing for around £20K in the UK I think I'll go that route when I finally find a nice one.
Well what a stunning example, not one of my favourites but I definitely warmed to it , the clacking of the gear shift🤌🏻.No stone unturned as usual and the matching outfit 👍🏻
Another wonderful film Damian. The 550 and 575 were very muted Ferrari's from the factory ( Luca wanted them to be gentleman's cars). But that engine really gets a voice with a fruity exhaust. A straight pipe makes it sound like an 80s F1 car.
The 575 is a fantastic car - also with the F1 gearbox. For me black is not the very best colour fo this car. In Grigio Titanio it looks even more elegant and its shapes are enhanced even more.
This period of Ferrari was just wonderful. The 575m, Enzo and a year later, the Challenge Stradale. Loud, raw, intoxicating naturally aspirated drivers cars. Beautiful Pininfarina design. Back then most buyers did not care about the crappy stereos or the lack of sound deadening.
Awesome video. I love this channel. I'd love to see you in a 599 GTO although I imagine they're insanely expensive. I just have an obsession with that Enzo engine sound. *continues to drool*
Great review Damien. You should try the 575M F1. It is still has the same gear box just with hydraulically operated shift. It's a wonderful car to drive. I'll never sell mine. Deleting the central muffler and changing the rear boxes will give a better sound. Love the green dial..Malachite?
Great episode, i can now tell the difference with a 550 and 575. Btw Luca Montezemolo, there is no di in the surname, its omitted unless using his full surname, Cordero di Montezemolo, I first read it in an interview in F1 racing magazine back in the 90’s, its also mentioned in Wikipedia 🤓
Hi Damien Please can you review a 575 F1 Most people will never get to own a manual 575, even if they are in the market for a Ferrari Also, no one has done a comparison between a 575 F1 and a 550 I think you or Jayem are the best men in the business to do this review! I trust it will get a lot likes and love from all over the world ☺️
Damian you forgot to mention the 456 in the V12 history. We will forgive you if this is the Ferrari V12 that you end up adding to your collection. And you KNOW this is the smart choice to make.
Fantastic, I had the f1 version. Great looks, but a little underwhelming for me. The manual is the One! But the green Rolex suits your new weight loss. Very cool!
Those that know suggest the 550 is the sweeter-handling car on typical B roads. Prettier front end and more supportive seats on 550 make it the more satisfying car, though both great Ferraris
Thats a lovely spec and outstanding condition. I must admit i struggle to tell the difference between the 550 and 575, those graphic inserts you edited in really helped, sterling effort as always Damian. 👍👍
Enjoyable review although I must admit its not one of my favourite Ferrari designs. I like the new theme on the channel ...... where the clothes have to match the colour scheme of the car👍
An 812 superfast or this ? For me the 575M. Modern supercars have way too much power, as marques battle for the best performance figures. The 812 has too much power; a dangerous amount.
They do look better with age however I can't tell you how disappointed I was back in the day when the 550 came out to effectively replace the 512M - The real exotics to me at the time were all mid-engined.
Great car, great episode. Well done Damo. By the way...in the DEF series we talked, in the earliest episode, about 2 cars it would be hard to get. The original Testa Rossa open sports car and of the 250GT California Spyder SWB... Time to work the phones and call in some favors ;) Am I reaching for the stars here?
In the US note that on the East and West Coasts they are charging $13-20K for the belt service now. That of course was the range I found for the numerous shops I contacted. I took a road trip to the Midwest from the West Coast to get my 612 done for $4.5K. I was curious what engine outs for the 355 were. They quoted $35-55K on the Coasts.
Just a note on the ‘Sport’ setting: it impacts far more than just the suspension/steering - the engine management means is transformed (and the gate in the exhaust will shatter any nearby glass).
Here's a fun fact that's not mentioned here in the comments or in the video: Autocar slated the 575's handling on launch because of the softened suspension - it was bottoming out, and it was inferior to the 550. Ferrari then offered the GTC option pack - and they admitted to reacting to Autocar's initial review. Apparently it was Montezemolo's folly to dictate the softer suspension to increase its GT credentials to appeal to more buyers.
550/575 my favorite v12 Ferrari model is a car with a very stylish , design, classic or will be in the future. But we are talking about a car that is over 20 years old, and it is very difficult to find a clean example nowadays, even if there is a Jul-fit car with very low mileage, they are stored in the garage as a collectible item. In short, it's a great car, but my personal idea is that now buying and running a 575 has become an activity that seriously requires money and time.
I'd have a 575M ahead of a 550 any time, stanced. However, the 599 still trumps all the front v12 metal. Someone has wiped that car down with windolene, looks like glass. Try it, amazing finish!!
I think the 550/575 are the last v12 Ferraris that had the 'classic' Ferrari look. I'm not a connoisseur - can someone tell me why the 550 is generally preferred over the 575? Thanks.
God D&u#f@g!...It's so dang beautiful!! In the States here they go between 130 thousand and 300 thousand, with the manual, of course, going for 100 thousand, (!), more. The 550 and the 575 are hero cars for me, with the manual being extra special. I'm not a person who does jealousy, horrible emotion, but I admit I'm feeling a tinge of green towards anyone whom has this in their garage. Good hearted jealousy, but still, avocado, algae, malachite, chameleon.
I would easily go for the 550 for the looks and the dials… and the bloody price of a manual 575, which is equally as good as the 550, you need to be bonkers to buy this one if you want a manual !
aaaaaah yes, when ferraris felt more like ferrari lovely manual gearbox and stwering wheel free of haptic buttons i owned 2 550s back in the day, a right hooker and a left hooker and they were very similar, but not the same liked the look of the 550 better than the 575, and was tempted to upgrade but chose not to still a magnificent way to move between two places, analogue to the right degree, and the best combination of a front engines v12 and a manual gearbox they definitely don't make them like they used to 😏
Agree, it was a golden era for Ferrari. Classic lines and that manual box 👍
A naturally aspirated V12, rear wheel drive and a manual. That's it isn't it? Automotive driving heaven.
This cannon of Ferrari work is epic…many thanks Damian for your joy and hard work pulling this and all the ‘Drive Every Ferrari’ episodes together. Magnificent!
Thank you, Neil. I’m just one guy, no team, no support. But I have to admit this series has kept me going on RUclips.

When 2002 is a classic…. Realise I’m getting old (51)
I know the feeling!
I feel the same way as I'm only into sharp cars, not SUVs and not into electric anything unless it's a train..
You're the perfect Ambassador for Ferrari but......we need to work on the pronunciation of "Montezemolo"😢
I prefer the design of the 550. I find it to be the purest and smoothest of the two
Ahh fantastic!… the official start to the weekend is here. Thanks as always Damian (and Jason).
You bet!
I really want you to Drive Every Ferrari! Your coverage - along with JayEmm - is very inspiring! Thank you!
So beautiful 👌🏻 growing up, my neighbor had one of these but a red 575M and also manual. I got to ride in it as a young teenager and I was mighty impressed.
Thank you for posting this lads, I’ve missed drive every Ferrari
Our pleasure!
Great to be back on this series. Love how you even dressed to match the spec of the car!
I actively looked for one of these for 5 years and drove a lot of badly maintained and neglected cars (there was a time when you couldn't give these away). Wonderful. These late open gate cars are peak Ferrari for me. 550/575/355. Perfection
Yes they are!
Just fkn AMAZING
575M❤ My absolute childhood hero✌️
Great video as always. Can only imagine how much effort goes into the edit, that switch between POV and normal view👏👏.
Such a beautiful classic Ferrari, great video too; they always ensure my weekend starts with a smile.
Glad you enjoyed it
I love this drive every Ferrari 👌
And all the info my favorite are 250 gto and 250 swb 👌
What a car, what a watch!!
90s era is my favourite for cars in general so any 90s Ferrari would be high on my list of dream cars
I’ve had a rover 75 diesel and a mg zt 160 1.8t and I loved them both.
Very nicely put!
importantly it needs 6 into 1 equal length headers to sound somewhat high pitch. definetly way to queit from factory
The 575 is a fantastic car - also with the F1 gearbox. For me black is not the very best colour fo this car. In Grigio Titanio it looks even more elegant and its shapes are enhanced even more.
Stunning car , love the interior too .
Lovely .
My favorite modern Ferrari. Thanks for the vid. Did that one have a stock exhaust or aftermarket?
Outstanding review of this truly beautiful work of art. One of my absolute favorites. Well done as usual sir.
Thank you kindly!
Outstanding presentation as usual, Damien. Thank you. Looking forward to hearing about your next V12 Ferrari acquisition.
Thanks! 👍
That’s a nice Rolex, I’ve never seen that model before, great video too btw. Looking forward to more of this series

I’ve done an episode on that already
You said you wanted a v12 Ferrari in the garage, Pal@@TheCarGuysTV
Love the inclusion of all the V12 Front engine Ferrari’s at the end, nice touch well done good sir 👌 all the best!

Thank you very much!
My favourite and most dreamed ferrrari. so little video about it and thanks TheCarGuys!!!
Glad you liked it!
Love this car, so cool, stunning in black. If only I had the funds!
Great review Damien. You should try the 575M F1. It is still has the same gear box just with hydraulically operated shift. It's a wonderful car to drive. I'll never sell mine. Deleting the central muffler and changing the rear boxes will give a better sound. Love the green dial..Malachite?
But still - only two pedals… Controlling the power from engine to wheels via a manually operated clutch is crucial to me. That’s pure driving.
Hi Damien
Please can you review a 575 F1
Most people will never get to own a manual 575, even if they are in the market for a Ferrari

One of the proper GT cars..
No use to me wales will be all 20mph by the time I find one..
Another classic episode thabks for sharing..😎
Damian you forgot to mention the 456 in the V12 history. We will forgive you if this is the Ferrari V12 that you end up adding to your collection. And you KNOW this is the smart choice to make.
Love the 550 & the 575s 👍🏆
Fantastic, I had the f1 version. Great looks, but a little underwhelming for me. The manual is the One!

Hmmm...A proper classic Damian, and such a lovely example: Even the tyres look new! Great car & vid, Sir! 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it

@@TheCarGuysTV Sadly your idol doesn’t wear beige !
Thats a lovely spec and outstanding condition. I must admit i struggle to tell the difference between the 550 and 575, those graphic inserts you edited in really helped, sterling effort as always Damian. 👍👍
Having driven a 550 I can only imagine how good this 575M would be. Looking more M yourself these days Damian!
wonderful review of a beautiful car. For me on the otherhand the 550 is the choice.
What about the 456? I missed that one in your summary of the V12 front engine Ferraris
These older ferraris are a trillion times nicer then the modern soulless turbo crap. That goes for every brand of car too
Best looking ferrari ever built
Very interesting as usual, I always start my weekend with you! What happens with « drive every Ferrari »?
Loving the shorts and shirt colour combo:) It would be a nice colour spec for a V12 Ferrari;)
Indeed
Enjoyable review although I must admit its not one of my favourite Ferrari designs.
I like the new theme on the channel ...... where the clothes have to match the colour scheme of the car👍
An 812 superfast or this ? For me the 575M. Modern supercars have way too much power, as marques battle for the best performance figures. The 812 has too much power; a dangerous amount.

What a rare and lovely thing. In an "off the beaten path" spec, no less.
You have the best job, Damian!
👍🏻👍🏻
575 manual is at least 350k EUR. Approx. 200k EUR more than the 550. And the 550 looks nicer… 😊
His rolex has no numbers 😮😂
Great vlog dude 👍🏾
Glad you enjoyed

What a spec🖤
I'm still liking the LC500 over this
EAG doing manual conversions on pretty much anything including 4 x Scuderia and a few CS...any interest in the upcoming 812 replacement F167?
The one to have and never sell indeed.
Love this nice colour too
Very classy beans thanks 👍
My pleasure 😊
Damien 💪💪👊😉🇬🇧👍..great review..great car ..cheers
Thanks 👍
Great content as always...👌
Thank you 🙌
great car.. and that's a rather special stone dial rolex you are sporting.
It sure is!
Call me crazy but I think I'd still have the GTC4 Lusso if I had the choice.
Excellent!
Isn't the 550 a better buy than the 575M? Is it true that the 575M suspension is too soft?
Are there any shops in G.B. that convert the F1 cars to manual?
We need a 355 video Damien!
Anyone know all the key differences between the 575 FHP and 575 HGTC?
great car good video BUT u gotta do better with the audio IN CAR portion,,,badly muffled!!
Here's a fun fact that's not mentioned here in the comments or in the video: Autocar slated the 575's handling on launch because of the softened suspension - it was bottoming out, and it was inferior to the 550. Isnt the 550 the one to have? Wasnt this the first car built by focus group?
Great video Damian as always. You missed out the 330GT (Series I & II) not to mention the 365/400/412!
I don’t know why I bother
Because you make great content. Just noticed because my father had a 330 GT and 365!@@TheCarGuysTV
Okay now understand that you were only doing 2 seater front engine V12's. Apologies.
550/575 my favorite v12 Ferrari model is a car with a very stylish , design, classic or will be in the future. 15:24 That gear change sounded exactly like the cocking handle on a GPMG! What a sound! Clack clunk!!!
Great history lesson
Thank you
This car with a straight pipe is perfect, very F1 sound!! Love the 575! Still prefer the 550 but the 575 is amazing too!
Reply isn’t the 575 F1 a bit soft and wallowy
Not so keen on Ferrari somehow, but the 575M is one of those inevitable exceptions
What a beauty
Love the car but also love the new watch. What’s happening with the watch guys?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😊 Great review as always. But for me ,i would rather have another Bentley thanks !...
Are all UK roads designed by a Super Seven driver, or his 4xGreat Grandfather? ;)
Great video👍
I mean, when it comes to old farm roads - yes!
I still think the headlights from this era on this and the 360 are a bit TVR / Kitcar / Halfords
It went better with the F430 and 599
550 better…
Fabulous car, great colour and timeless design, gets better as the 550/575 ages. Excellent presentation as usual. Very lucky owner. Thank you.
