Such rich, vibrant colors on this coral snake. Such a beautiful specimen. Awesome footage!!! I love your channel and Will Robertson's. I love when the two of you team up together.
You know they’re mainly a fossorial species and an Elapid (like the Cobra, their venom is highly toxic.) I’ve never seen one so aggressive, they’re usually shy and retiring, refusing to bite (I wouldn’t provoke one though!)
That's a pretty Eastern though. I love the red saddles mottled in black. Also an awesome example of how the "red and yellow, kill a fellow" saying should not be used as a primary reference for identification.
@pescatoralpursuit1726 The nursery rhyme doesn't always work when identifying them due to melanistic and albino specimens also it doesn't apply to Central America and South American Coral snakes .
@pescatoralpursuit1726 There are plenty of cases where the nursery rhyme doesn't hold up. The point I'm essentially making is if you don't know how to properly ID a snake based on more than just what would be considered "typical markings" then you shouldn't handle that snake. Just my opinion, but I feel it's good advice.
Did anyone read The Yearling. A writer from New York City moves to a house in a snake infested area of Everglades. One day she is gardening and finds a colorful small snake. She handles it a bit and keeps it, carrying it to a tradesman and asked him to make a pen cover with it. The craftsman said, “Good thing God looks out for children and fools.”
I saw one the other day that was all black except for that yellow band around its head. I’ve seen a lot of them out here so I know it was one. I’ve actually seen probably 50 but never one that was odd colored.
Yes, i could be the reflection, but it looks more like it's trying to bite whatever is closest to it, as he is being held by the tail end and doesn't like it. I'm not sure why he said he's not even touching him when he or someone is holding its tail. Regardless, this was an interesting video, and such a gorgeous snake. This is my favorite herping channel by far.
@@cattfishing He said it because the coral continued its assault on the camera well after it had been released. It’s to emphasize when the behavior had become even more exceptional with that development rather than to exaggerate its behavior leading up to that moment by implying it was unprovoked.
I googled the affects, And they have almost the same affects as a black mamba, so uh..... maybe let it be next time (i know it dosn't hurt asap but it can lead into alot of bad stuff)
He’s just a silly goofy little guy! My only reasoning behind that is either that the camera could of smelled edible/like prey or they saw a reflection on it and felt very threatened by the camera
Likely sees itself in the lense and has decided to keel the other snake 😂😂😂
Canon, that's probably why. He's a Nikon guy.
nah, he's definitely a kodak fan.
@@RoseNZieg 🤣📹
I've heard most of them are 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Na, I know it when I see it…, Sony A7 type of snake 🐍 clearly.
Such rich, vibrant colors on this coral snake. Such a beautiful specimen. Awesome footage!!! I love your channel and Will Robertson's. I love when the two of you team up together.
"I KEEL DIS CAMERA!!!"
Maybe he saw his reflection???
It's looking at the reflection. It probably thinks he is looking at a meal.
The infamous, ferocious coral snake 😆
what a neat experience! I have been looking for cool snakes like these but haven't found anything great yet, still on the hunt!

I recited this in my head and was concerned for the cameraman lol
This specimen as well as over 99% is EXACTLY why the phrase should be used.

It’s is cute
I wanna see that cam footage! I hope you had it on.
He thinks it's a burrow. He's big!
I have run across these 3-4 times in North Florida . Beautiful creatures. Always keep distance!!
He has over 100 million subscribers on SnakeTube, he was just dropping another Banger for his fans.

That’s the venomous one one right?
Is it attacking it's reflection like what birds usually do?
It’s fun seeing a snake have a unique personality!
Is that normal for its tail to be curled up like that?
Yes. It's a defense tactic. They are also known to make a popping sound from their cloaca. That some call farming but no gas is actually released.
is there a reflection?
Yes, i could be the reflection, but it looks more like it's trying to bite whatever is closest to it, as he is being held by the tail end and doesn't like it. Scary to see how well it can reach out, open its mouth and bite over and over!
Now that was cool. Maybe he was mad because you were not taking his or hers Picture ?
Danger noodle on guard
he is aware having your picture taken steals your soul...
he's a beautiful snake do not touch 🤩
It see’s an image of itself in the lens….duuuuu! 😮
Its likely trying to bit the camera because it smells human scent on it and it feels threatened.
Perhaps it's own reflection
C'est ça que les n appel un gros plan 🤣
If i do remember well the little guy left some venom on the lens. 😁
Beautiful specimen...,🖤
doesn’t like paparazzi, camera shy, beautiful snake.
is it venemous?
"DELETE THE PHOTOS, STALKER!"
-Coral snake, probably.
coral snakes eat snakes. he saw his reflection in the lens.
he has earned it give it over
I think he's definitely camera shy🤣
Sees its reflection
It's an ant-paparazzi snake.. 😆 🤣
Grumpy grumpy grumpy 😂
Awww that's adorable
"heck"
He's showing u what he could do to you if you piss him off anymore
Because they eat snakes and this one has seen his reflection and is confused.
Yes you was holding it.
he was hungry!!!!
He hates the paparazzi
He is so cool. ❤️💛🖤
Cool to watch man👍🏽
Dry bite no venom on the camera 😊
What a vicious beast!
Most Eastern Coral Snakes I've encountered could be described as retiring but not "docile."
Venomous I wouldn’t be laughing.
I googled the affects, And they have almost the same affects as a black mamba, so uh..... maybe let it be next time (i know it dosn't hurt asap but it can lead into alot of bad stuff)
RUN it's a coral snake and it's venomous.
Should've recorded him biting the lens
He’s just a bit camera shy 🥱
He’s just a silly goofy little guy! My only reasoning behind that is either that the camera could of smelled edible/like prey or they saw a reflection on it and felt very threatened by the camera
Gotta be snake musk on there
I've never seen a snake act like a Karen before
The most deadly snake in America looks like a nightcrawler with stripes bet they Make great bass bait
Not today Canon
Karen coral. You dont have my permission to film me!!!
Highkey wish that camera was turned on so we could see this goober up close haha!
Doesn't like paparazzi
Eh ... it just prefers Nikon or Sony cameras. LOL!
And that for you is one of the most venomous snakes in the world!
Must of seen reflection probably since they are snake eaters
maybe he is smelling your hands on the camera? :D
Isn’t is red beside yellow kill a fellow?
This is a coral snake but that that rhyme is not reliable all the time
Time to disinfect your cam
Your cameras dead now
racist snake, i need one on my farm :>
Cause your holding its tail. Lolz 😏🤓
You’re very close for a snake that’s extremely venomous
