Momotaro suddenly approaches Genki who is relaxing.
Genki offers her seat to Momotaro, but when Genki leaves, Momotaro also leaves.
I thought Momotaro had come because the place where Genki was sitting was in the shade and cool, but apparently that was not the case.
Then, just as Genki was about to take a nap, Momotaro approaches again.
Genki offers her seat to Momotaro.
It was funny to see Genki's confused expression as she didn't understand why Momotarou was approaching her.

⭐️Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
Born in Ueno Zoo on July 3, 2000.
His father is Biju and his mother is Momoko.
His father died before he was born and he grew up never knowing his father.
He came to Kyoto City Zoo in 2010 and is now a father of two sons.
⭐️Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Born on June 24, 1986 at the Kyoto City Zoo.
Her father is Mack and her mother is Hiromi.
When she was 10 years old, she went to Ueno Zoo for breeding purposes.
But she had a bad relationship with another female gorilla, and she injured her fingers and toes with her self-mutilation and lost a lot of weight.
When she returned to her hometown of Kyoto City Zoo, she was fine, and she lived with various male gorillas.
Then she met Momotaro and she gave birth to two lovely sons whom she lovingly raised.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at the Kyoto City zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
He is very close with his younger brother Kintaro and they play together almost every day.
⭐️Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at Kyoto City Zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.

Gentaro is turning out to be a fine young gorilla. His genes are good. I can only imagine how big Kintaro will be.
It’s really endearing. Momo is socially awkward, but he’s trying, but he’s never consistent so Genki is like what in heck do you want you usually aren’t nice to me. He does try but he does this kind of stuf sporadically
Momo is a territorial food hoarder. He’s not nice to Genki. She doesn’t like him and would probably prefer her own habitat….away from him.

Genki doesn’t like him (Momo). He’s not the nicest silverback. He’s tough and everything but he isn’t easy going or laid back…like Winston. Although, he does seem to allow Kintaro to get away with misbehavior. He’s not nice to Genki and he’s a food hoarder. They should give Genki her own habitat and let the 3 boys love on each other. 💕
You keep commenting stuff like this everywhere, like you have some kind of vendetta against Momo. No one else seems to be under the impression that she hates him. As far as I'm aware, Momo has been the most successful mate pairing she's had (they tried to pair her with others before unsuccessfully).

Poor momo, he just wants to be near his mate. But as usual she just poops herself and moves away from him. He needs a younger female that he can have a closer relationship with. Unfortunately genki isn't it, and she never will be. I wish for his sake that he could be in a bigger and better zoo with multiple females. His genes are so good, he should be passing on more offspring.

Genki moved away from him because she's usually the one who does the initiating. And the way he treats her is inconsistent. Most wives are surprised when their emotionally stunted husbands act gentle
@@Balletcalvero funny. Emotionally stunned better describes genki than mo. He is very consistent, usually only breaking character if someone steps out of line and he has to discipline them. Which is part of his job , although some people just can't understand that. The only time that genki does the initiating is when she is in heat, no other time.
Does kintaro still do numbers or any learning activities?
Kintaro is still doing it now. He has learned the numbers up to 12.

Genki's estrus hasn't returned yet, so she would not get pregnant anyway. At this age her estrus may never return.

@@luvcats120 genki has problems. Her estrus just hasn't returned since she had kintaro. But it took over 6 years for it to return after she had gentaro. Gorillas don't go through menopause like women do, but it is similar. When they get to a certain age there estrus cycle will stop. Gorillas in the wild normally stop around 35, but in zoo's they can go longer. But with her age and the problems that she has, I don't see it happening again. I don't think she will have any more babies, and I don't think she can handle another one anyway.

"Sylvia Atsalis, a co-author of the study and a primatologist at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, said, "Like humans, gorillas seem to go not only through menopause, but also through perimenopause, during which we have documented some hormonal changes and during which there is reduced likelihood of conception."
@@SolaKnitez-bt8wy they do stop having a cycle after a while, but they don't go through the same menopause as a woman. That Is what I said and that is the truth.
